I actually like 1 of his songs. 
But that may be just me.

I say I don't like him but its just because is funny not to like him xD

Because when people make fun out of him it sadly makes them feel better about themselves. Also i'm sure a good number of people are jealous that many girls find him hot, and it really shows how immature society could be. "

On the why do people hate him subject, I blame the fans. It's the Twilight principle, people wouldn't hate Twilight anywhere near as much as they do if it wasn't for the hordes of drooling, screaming fans who insist it is the greatest creation ever. (Can't comment on the books, but I've seen the films and anyone who thinks the first two were good need to watch more movies.)

I could rant about Twilight some more, but I'll just finish my point there by saying Bieber is just like Twilight: not terrible, but ridiculously over-rated. If too many people love something, then that something will also develop a lot of haters to counteract them. 
 
Personally, I don't hate him. There's plenty of people in the music industry who are worse than him. No, he doesn't deserve his own movie, but that's what happens when you have an insane amount of fans for no good reason.
