JRPG English Dubbing SUCKS!

I have been retro gaming for sometime now and playing the JRPG's I have missed. I have been given the choice of choosing if I want the Dub or Sub version.

Me, being the idiot that I am choose Dub (Learn from anime dubs stupid). The story and game play on most of the titles are ok. Not great but not unplayable. What ticks me off is the horrendous dubbing, here I am at the most climatic part of the game and what I'm hearing are deadpan voices.

I ended up stopping and downloading the subbed version instead and it is a WHOLE LOT BETTER (Yay Piracy)!

Whats up with American Dubbing anyway?

Hm, I love the dubs, but I can't stand the sound of any of the Oriental languages so... I might be a bit bias.

The thing is that Japanese and English(or other languages)are two completely different languages.The transition of translating the languages can be very hard for companies.I have no bias for subs or dubs,but I pick the one good I feel like watching.

The only jrpg I can think of where the english VOs were so bad that I couldn't even play it was Star Ocean: The Last Hope. So glad they re released it on ps3.

The Dub quality are horrible, the voice actors are not even trying to act. Its like they are reading the script and that's it.

Well that your opinion of how you can see things.I still get the same story and characters in any other language and I don't have much ill will against it.

YES, voice acting in Super Mario in the NES is awful. ;p

I image in both in Japanese and English and it can happen on both sides.It only mainly depends on which voice actors(if new or experienced)companies used.

I wasn't trying about dub hentai(oddly,I can rarely find it on Google),but overall hentai.I never seen BB,but I seen a review of Bible Black and he seem to think Bible Black is a overrated hentai

Final Fantasy XII is good specially Balthier.

Zone of the Enders 2 and the Metal Gear series even though not RPGs are good.

Have no ill will for your opinions(for the most part lol).
