Well I don't know about the book but I have to agree when it comes to the movies I didn't like that pairing sticking.

I actually would have preferred Harry with Hermione instead as well. Never cared much for Ron.

Ron's useless, Hermione can do much better than his goofy a**.

So.....then why the hell did she make Ron such a major character? He was sidelined and useless for most of the story. The only constellation for his character is that he got the girl. While I think it was weird that Harry got with Ginny (I would have preferred....anyone else), this is stupid. I have a feeling J.K. Rowling will be going down the same road as George Lucas lol

To be honest, I never understood why Ron ended up with Hermione. I've seen all of the movies and read most of the books and I always preferred Harry with her. Harry and Ginny was no. To me, it was like - Okay, Ron isn't the chosen one so I'll put him with the girl. Harry is the chosen one so I'll give him a "random" girl. But plot twist (I'm making this up), Harry is subconsciously getting back at Ron for stealing Hermione so he marries Rons sister.

That's weird of her to say that. Ron and Hermione are perfect together. They are so different which makes them a stronger couple. She's talking like she doesn't like ron at all. Though I must admit harry and Hermione looked good together during the dance scene in the deathly hallows movie
