Sure it's still around, but will it eventually be gone? I don't even remember the last time I sat and watched Television.
Is TV dead?
I'm the same way. The Internet is over shadowing it. It won't be completely gone for a decent amout of time. But it will phase out with the interwebs takin over.
I live in the country, I have to have TV because I have no access to anything other than dial-up or satellite internet. With satellite internet (which I have) you are forced to stay within a data limit for your usage called a Fair Access Policy (pretty sure the initials F.A.P aren't coincidental). So I have to be picky about the movies and shows I watch via Netflix.

No, not at all.
Television died for me once they remove Saturday morning cartoons from public TV.

lol
tv is internet, so watch great shows like Daredevil.
traditional tv is dying
I was going to say something similar.
Nah, I've seen every episode of Arrow, Flash, Agents of SHIELD, Constantine, Agent Carter, Daredevil, and Gotham this year. I plan to add Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow and AKA Jennifer Jones to that list later this year. TV is doing fine.
I should mention that I watched 90% of those on Hulu and Netflix, because my schedule doesn't allow for regular TV airings. 10 years ago, I would have had to tape the shows, 5 years ago I would have used a DVR. These days, it's just easier to subscribe to Hulu and watch them when I feel like it without any set up or preplanning.
Traditional TV is changing, but it's not dying. My concern is the broadcast networks still have the most money to play around with. Premium cable can spend a lot on a Game of Thrones or what have you, but you won't see 22 to 24 episodes of that each year. Broadcast TV is still the best source for a reasonably large budget and (if successful) a lot of episodes. Internet based content providers will have to do a lot better to compete with broadcast profits.
