Is there any one that that dislikes the Fresh prince?

Well, obviously some people don't like the show. I personally like it. Not my favorite show by any means, but it's certainly not bad.

Everyone either loves it or is indifferent haha. I've never met someone who dislikes it either. Some don't care, but they don't have negative feelings towards it either.

I've watched it when there's been nothing else on, or other people control the remote, it's inoffensive and sometimes even funny and can't say I hate the show, so I'd say I'm one of those who"s indifferent. Makes me think there needs to be a "meh" option on this poll.

I never liked the Cosby Show. I understand what Pill Cosby was doing when he created these characters, but I need characters to relate to and hardships to invest in. The Cosbys had none of this. They were all so damn perfect lol

It was a fantastic show with memorable moments. Greatest ever? Thats subjective but it was certainly a "great" show

Well, my parents dislike the show for the same reason, but there is more to it. Pill Cosby also has a history of talking down to black men like he's better than them. So, when he portrayed the perfect father of a perfect family, to me it's like he was just talking down in a different way. On top of that, this dude was raping women the whole time so in retrospect it just makes him even more of a hypocritical, condenscing douchebag lol

Yea I don't like it, I've never thought Will Smith was a good actor either...he plays the same character I'm everything, himself.

Earlier episodes were boring, when they had the second house it was much more watchable, but still was boring most of the time.

They're just a family. It irritates me that people always assume they are. my family has had to deal with similar crap with other people treating them like "perfect" snobs just because we're mostly well spoken, successful and educated.

I disagree lol they were as close to perfect as possible. I'm not even counting the fact that they were educated because it was the same deal with The Fresh Prince. I'm talking about the fact that the Cosbys seemed to know every celebrity, the kids never got in trouble, there were never any serious arguments, and they never faced racism or any type of adversity. It just always rubbed me the wrong way lol

The only one they that I can actually remember them knowing was Stevie Wonder (I'm sure there are more but hardly every one). As for adversity....what about Theo's struggle to overcome his learning disability and become a teacher or Sandra and Elvin constantly being poor. As for racism I'm sure there was at least one episode where they've dealt with it but all in all there are plenty of problems in the show that actual family's deal with.

Well, by trouble and adversity I meant more than "first world problems", save Elvin and Sandra I guess. I mustve been a bad kid because I don't count minor school problems as trouble, but I guess that's more on me than the show. As for racism, I honestly can't remember one episode and i've seen all of them. I don't know, they just never seemed to be a family with (serious) problems to me. IIRC most of the celebrity guest stars starred as themselves and already knew the Huxtables. But anyways, it doesn't matter as long as we both agree Pill Cosby is a sh*t stain

When Dj Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince came out with "I Bet You $5 I Can Beat Mike Tyson" I was in heaven.

Oh, haha. I was confused with your previous post. Was like, "How can anyone hate Fresh Prince?"

And I'd say the show is awesome because it balances out comedy and drama very well. :)

To be honest, I don't care much for the comedy - I just think the drama and characters are really cool.

I don't particularly enjoy the humor in the show. If you've watched the first few episodes, you've probably gotten A LOT of the show's humor already. A lot of the humor is basically repetition of character tropes ei. Uncle Phil being overweight, Will being smooth / Carlton being weird, "Dad, I need 500 dollars"

I love a lot of shows purely because I can enjoy them with a family member.

You can get to know them in a way that one on one interaction wouldn't afford.
