I remember Sagan's old theory that writing out a Googolplex would take more space than there is in the known universe, so if you're looking for a number with a billion zeroes or more, that's the one you want.

A googol is equal to 1x10^100 (1 followed by 100 zeroes). A googolplex is equal to one followed by a googol of zeroes, that is, 10^10^100. A googolplex is equivalent to 1 followed by 10 billion quintillion quintillion quintillion quintillion quintillion zeroes.

A googolplex is therefore incomprehensibly larger than the number 1 followed by a billion zeroes. There is no official name for that sort of number.

Where'd you get the bolded part? Any link will do.

Opps, you meant with a billion zeros; I don't think there is a name for such a large number; I don't think our numbering vocabulary is equipped to go up to such a high number.

Or, for all intents and purposes available to us now, it might as well be infinity
