Is super saiyan modeled after the aryan philosophy?
A majority if not, all are modeled after caucasions if you all have noticed. Colored eyes, crazy colored hair sometimes, and light skin. It's just the asians facination over whites and what they deemed attractive. Usually the big, round eyes is another attraction as well.
Nah, the philosophy is of a "superior race," SSJ is a superior form or upgrade, not a completely different new race of superior beings.
You know, there was a japanese god who had yellow hair that was all firey like a super saiyan. That was the model for super saiyans.
DBZ is lightly based on 4 ancient Chinese Gods who eventually made their way into Japanese mythology/astrology, this one being the main factor:
SEIRYU |
- Preface (Mythological)
Azure Dragon of East (called Qīng Lóng in China), which rules over Eastern direction and represents Wood element (of 5 chinese elements), Spring season (of 4 seasons), and the virtue propriety. Supports and maintains the country (controls rain, symbol of the Emperor’s power). Often paired with the Phoenix, for the two represent both conflict and wedded bliss. In both China and Japan, Dragon and Phoenix symbolism is associated closely with the imperial family -- the emperor (dragon) and the empress (phoenix). Benevolent and powerful. In Japan, it's said to drink from the waterfall within Kiyomizu Temple at nighttime. After Daoism became popular, Azure Dragon was given human name Meng Zhang 孟章. - Preface (GnK series)
Azure Dragon of East, which protects Hell's Gate from Eastern direction and has Air element (of 5 japanese elements) assotiated with it. He is the leader of Four Gods. - Appearance, powers, personality
Seiryu looks like blue asian dragon with horns and yellow hair. It grants its avatar with electrokinesis, and embeds him with Seiryu features (yellow hair and red eyes) once Seiryu takes control of the body. Seiryu is powerful and arrogant.
DB is based off Japanese culture...DBZ on the other hand..it has Superman, terminator, sci-fi, kirby, ect on it.
biggest faux pas: super sayain eyes are way more green. the hitler joke in fusion reborn was just that: a joke

Their eyes are green...not blue
blueish green. XD
It was modeled after the Aryan sh*t no doubt but there was a Chinese/Japanese God with yellow hair and red eyes. Akira Toriyama just changed it to fit the ideals of the times.
Same thing for Naruto. Same thing for I Am Number Four and any other movie showcasing BA blonde/blue eyed mains.
What alotta people are missing though is the symbolism behind the colors. They're based off of Kemetian principles and the Chakra system.
It's metaphysics, my dude.

No, the most powerful official saiyan form of Goku(Super Siyan 4) is black haired.
Well that makes sense. The GT series is modeled after the principles of 9 ether.
Yes, the Japanese are known for their inferiority complex and idolization/nigh-worship of the White Caucasoid race. It's no secret that the Japanese see themselves as disgusting sub-humans in comparison to Whites, due to being completely westernized and brainwashed. It's why 95% of anime characters look European, rather than Asian.
Super Saiyans were indeed Toriyama's personal interpretation of superior Aryan warriors. Most Japanese people in general worhsip the White Caucasoid race ardently.
If I remember right I think he said in a interview that the colors was so that it would be easier when drawing so he didn't have to shade as much. But don't quote me its something I half remember reading somewhere.
I noticed that a lot of Japanese fiction LOVES to use German elements. Full Metal Alchemist takes place in what would be Germany (I think), and even Soul Calibur has a lot of German based characters. Probably has something to do with WWII, but who knows.
I think it's because of the steampunk scenario. But yeah, eve nwhen they are using foreign lenguage, it's mostly german lol.
On topic: LOL.
SSJ was originally supposed to have white hair and a yellow aura, as can be seen in the Frieza vs Goku fight, but the aura gave the hair a yellowish tint and made it look like gold in most shots. In some the hair is even gold without the aura, but in others it's white as was intended.
Over time the hair became more and more yellow until it went full gold.
I think it's meant to be more of a take on becoming "golden" which symbolizes perfection/higher value in many different venues.
not necessarily blonde... especially when you consider the ss4 monkey form is "Golden Oozaru" which has the same color fur as SSJ hair.
so is mr popo a racist concept?
