What do you personally think?
Is it morally right to take a person's life?
Morality is a man-made concept that is defined by the society you live in; it is subjective. There is nothing called morality in nature. You cannot observe morality or test it in a laboratory. There is no absolute "morality."

@sheenlantern: Is it right to take a person's life, in any situation, life and death or not.
What is morality?
You're personal judgement.

This.
There are things you can justify. And things you cannot justify. And justification is a person by person basis depending on circumstances.
@hudyman: so the question is am i a killer?
For the most part id say its not right. The only exception I can think of is if somebody was to kill or severely hurt somebody I love and care about, I would take that persons life without hesitation.
Thats direct contradiction of your own words.
You're basically saying you are against taking a life unless it happens to involve someone you care about.

I have no idea. Are you?
It all depends on you're own judgement.

What I meant was that is probably the only situation where I personally would take somebodies else life. I didn't say it was right, but if somebody killed somebody I love, ill kill them.
If a person presents a continuous threat to other people it has nothing to do with morality, its logical to remove the danger from society permanently.

This. Someone sacrifices a person to appease God in our society, it's murder and they go to prison, but do it in ancient South American socities and it's expected. Morality is dictated by social norms and mindsets.
Limmy's Show is the sh*t! Appreciate the use of that sketch.
But yeah, thread has essentially been answered already.

@hudyman: I'm not hating the show, I'm hating the clip, specifically the part where it was just two guys repeating themselves over and over.
so the question is am i a killer?
Do you eat meat?
@eisenfauste: Wouldn't vegetarians be considered killers under the same logic? Plants are living things too...
@jaken7: Sentience > Vegetable
@eisenfauste: K.
*eats steak with a side of bacon*
@jaken7: I'm not a vegetarian just saiyan.
*Swallows hamburger whole*
@eisenfauste: *slow claps*

someone put it into words I never could. Also the people who are high and mighty on the topic I am always curious to see how they would respond if someone was about to murder their family in the most gruesome way possible and made them watch. and the situation basically ends with them killing this murder or letting him live because "murder is wrong"
@eisenfauste: I like hoes not bros
@russellmania77: What you did there.......I see.
@i_like_swords: You've changed in my absence. And not in a good way.
Of course killing is morally right!

THIIIIISSS SOOO MUCH THIS , i've been trying to explain this to people for ages dude same thing with "right" and "wrong"
and "good" and "bad"
That's like asking, "Is it morally right to physically restrain someone?" At first you might think no, but in reality it would differ wildly depending on the details of the situation. If someone was having a seizure, restraint is fine. Is someone was on a killing spree, restraint is fine. If someone were young and about to run into traffic, restraining is fine.
Here's how I look at life. You have a right to life, liberty and property; this is self-evident. Nobody should mess with your rights UNLESS you start to trample on someone else's rights to life, liberty and property. At that point, the trampled individual has a right to defend himself, his freedom and his property.
Generally speaking, killing someone is wrong, but if it has to be done to defend the rights of the innocent, then of course that is okay. It would be a million times worse to say that it's wrong to defend yourself for that makes the world a victim ripe for the plucking of any bully.

There is no absolute morality and nothing in nature that proves it, huh? Alright, consider the following. If I were to go to a hundred different people across the world selected at random and punch them in the face, would a single one of those people fail to say my actions were wrong? If I were to break into a hundred houses across the world and steal the most valuable object in that home, would there be a single owner who would say my actions were right? If you believe that all one hundred would cry out with one voice on these issues of morality regardless of culture, then how can you say that morality is subjective based on culture?
