Is cussing really bad?

I mean people say the words everyday. Why is it not allowed on some websites? Don't we have a freedom of speech?

This site is suppose to be family friendly which is why we can't curse on here uncensored.

Which honestly has always pegged me as a little strange given what most mainstream comics bring out.

That said IRL I curse like a sailor at times and I really think that cursing is fine for the most part. (There are some situations where I wouldn't curse, such as when I'm talking to my grandmother.)

It's not f*cking allowed, get over it and stop your god d*mn b*chin' ^.^

I definitely agree with this. Seems a little odd.

I don't swear very often. I only do so when I'm really pissed off ("pissed" is common for me, though. Same for "crap").

you can say whatever you want as long as it doesn't hurt or offend other individuals....some people are offended by swearing and this is a family friendly website meaning that children are on this site so the staff and the mods try their best to make it as unoffensive as possible

I for one like the site better without swearing...I swear on a daily basis...I swear a lot....but for some reason I just don't like it when I see it on the site....it's one of the reasons I don't use Giant Bomb...their site is like a sailor's mouth

I like that CV has a no-swearing policy. It maintains some level of decorum on the boards, and keeps unruly users in check too.

Well I swear in real life not in every other sentence or anything over the top. I do tend to swear when I hurt myself too, it can actually help with the pain which I find rather interesting.

I find it odd how swearing is so forbidden on here too, I mean its not like this one website by not allowing swearing is making a difference or an impact on anything on that front.
