In a triumph of acceptance and fairness, Ireland has voted yes to gay marriage. Thoughts?

@silkyballfro94: Wow, look at professor man here. More marriages equals more divorces.
Seriously though, good for them. Another step towards free will that doesn't affect the people around them.
Liberal trash. I hope they all choke on potatoes.
@lesterlawton: You're comparing a country the size of Ireland to a country the size of the US? Who's population is more diverse.
Cool, did the Irish vote for this before or after they beat the sh*t out of their women and got off scot-free??
@cattlebattle: Before, while they were getting drunk and brawling at the local pub.
Don't care.
It's kind of weird being a bisexual irreligious libertarian.
Aside from being white and southern, I'm basically the exact opposite of the right-wing stereotype.
Don't care.
Don't care.
Pffft, you care more about L'il B's new album then human rights! What bout all those gay ass rappers that want to marry their homies

The rap industry in a nutshell:
@comicstooge: If one is going off second hand knowledge, then sure :D
@comicstooge: If one is going off second hand knowledge, then sure :D
When they're not kissing eachother, they're hitting women and blowing their cash on expensive cars they don't know how to drive.

Considering how many rap songs are dedicated to women, I doubt that :D, and you know you want them cars brah!

The songs are apologies for the black eyes.
An ultra-catholic country like Ireland voted yes before Australia? That's embarrassing.
lol
@black_wreath: Ireland is only nominally Catholic. Not that I have a problem with it.
Who cares
You do since you commented on this thread
A great many countries are more open-minded than The United States. Ireland did it the right way.
Abortion is still punishable by a 15 year jail sentence in Ireland, whereas in the US it's been legal for......42 years, if I remember correctly?
Really, several American states are bigger than the entire country of Ireland, so these comparisons are just bizarre.

It's legal to have an abortion for some reasons in Ireland if the mothers life is in danger etc, of course, it's way too restrictive, but still. Soon it'll be legalized. And anyways, if someone from Ireland want's an abortion they can travel like 1 mile across the border to the UK and get one.
Rain forecasted in Ireland. UKIP was right, gays cause floods!
Lucky Ireland, in the States they cause hurricanes.

That was legalized only 2 years ago when a woman died from septic shock after being denied an abortion. Before that, it was banned. I don't see how it'll be legalized soon when polls have shown only about 25-30% of Ireland would support that.
On that basis, there would be no reason to legalize abortion in Mexico either, since one could simply take a trip across the border to California.
Don't care.
:/

@saren: I think this vote is paving a way for it to be legalized. At least I'd hope so.
And it's easier to cross from Ireland to UK than Mexico to the US. Ireland is part of the EU so they can legally enter the UK without so much as a passport, and just get an abortion. And then hop back over to Ireland.
@baron_von_santa: Uh yeah it was a joke.
K
LEGALIZE GAY WEED!!!
This is a cause I can get behind
