I'm looking for opinions on the new Innistrad set, mostly because I got a booster box and a fatpack of it, and I'm kind of curious to see what other people think of the set to see if I'm wasting my money.
Innistrad Opinions?
Haven't played seriously since Nemesis but I was checking out this set earlier and the new transform mechanic looks pretty cool compared to the ones you just rotate 180 degrees.
@Larkin1388: @joshmightbe: @Rudyftw: Magic the Gathering(card game). Innistrad is the most recent set of cards they have put out.

I have no clue whats going on up in here. Whats a fatpack?
A fat pack is a collection of cards you can buy. Usually they contain 5-8 "booster packs" which contain about 15 cards a piece, maybe some extra promotional cards, and the novel that came out along with the series. Often they also include a card carrying box decorated with art from the set of cards in that expansion.
@joshmightbe: I started playing with the set Mirage when it came out in 1997 I think. I quit with Nemesis in in 2000, and started buying more comics :)
@Neverpraying: I guess it really comes down to what kind of magic player you are. If your a serious player who frequents tournaments and what not I would definitely work on building a deck out of just cards from the Innistrad block(and possibly any other cards within this cycle). Since this set is just coming out it will be what everyone wants to play with at card shops most likely.
If your a casual player who just likes to have some great cards and play some good matches against friends then I would maybe hold off in less a particular card, or deck catches your eye. Playing friendly games with no real rules regarding what card sets you can put in your deck is always more fun IMO.
I'm looking over all the cards here. When I finish checking them out I'll give you my 2 cents.
