Having sex with an animal is abuse of said animal and against the law. Attraction and love are different. Your friend is probably best prepared for a real relationship because of his ability to feel in love with an animated anything due to personality alone. Although if any physical attributes are part of that (tail, mane, impossibly enormous eyes) then I think it's time to get a new hobby.

Would it be acceptable to me? Sure, for the most part I have a live and let be attitude so other people can do what they want with their lives, isn't my place to be telling people who or what to love. That being said the whole non-human fetish thing is not my scene

Take a racing horse for example: once it breaks it's leg, it is immediately put down. I get how RainbowDash is attractive, but horses aren't anything like MLP imo.

I would certainly have sex and would be in a relationship with non humans, not a dog or anything fucked up like that.

1) Is the being conscious?

2) Is the being intelligent?

3) Is the being similar in stucture? If an alien is a hot green humanoid girl with beautiful hair and softskin, fuck it, if it's a dinosaur looking thing, maybe not. This reaches beyond vertebrates and non, you have to have a very close genetic physical characteristics, even more than monkies and humans do.

4) Is it cool? Why fuck and fall in love with a girl if she isn't either a martial artist master or she doesn't control matter with her mind through telekinesis.

5) Do you find it worthwhile on an emotional level to be with said person, if it's such an experience that you couldn't find a human with such an emotional bond with you (humans are pretty monotonous and there seem to be finite personality types we can have), then sure, if you have the other 4, go bang/marry the thing.

I would say you would have to have all 5 to make it acceptable.

I think the most important thing is the consciousness and intelligence/personality.
