So I was going to visit my grandma (I love my gam gam) today and I saw that she had bandages around her hand. I asked her what happened? She told me that some dude who worked there accidentally spilled hot coffee on her. I was annoyed but accidents happen. But what pissed me off was why he spilled it. She tells me that he was looking at some girls butt (who she also says is way out of his league and that the guys is kind of a loser) when he did it. I MEAN SERIOUSLY! THE HELL MAN?! I was angry all day and I'm thinking of getting that punk kid fired or sue the place. SHould I?
I'M VERY ANGRY! Should I sue?
@saintwildcard: I would say let it be up to your Grandmother. And unless theirs cameras I don't think you could prove it and it could be a massive waste of time over something pretty silly.
@saintwildcard: well I'm biased against the whole sue happy culture so I would just suggest slapping the shit outta the kid but who knows he'd probably just end up suing you lol so I don't really know what to tell you
How are YOU going to sue? On what basis? How were you hurt in this situation? Also, do you have a lot of disposable cash because suits, even petty ones can cost a lot of money. On top of that, after you go home with your righteous indignation, your grandmother still needs to work there with those co-workers. She needs to maintain some kind of amiable relationship with them for a tolerable work environment. Finally, she's a grown woman who raised one of your parents and possibly uncles or aunts. Chances are she can take care of herself and fight her own selective battles. It's fine to get angry, but irrational action afterwards can lead to undesired consequences. Keep calm and ask her if and how she plans to deal with this situation.
@penguindust: IT's an old folks home. SHe lives there, he's one of the workers.
@saintwildcard: Well, that's entirely different. When I read your original post it sounded more like she was in a work place. In that case, you can ask Health and Human services to look into the care of the residents. Having complaints on file can help the state force the caregivers to be better or face strong fines.
The guy who did it probably has a really pathetic picture of himself as the Joker on big FB, and probably had a dream journal .
@kidchipotle: Said If I were you, I'd have the girl fired, so the dude can't harm anymore grandmas.
____
This is a good idea. Have her transferred or let her go. That should teach him to do his work without hurting the people he's supposed to help.
I won't give my advice cause I know I'd lose all my reason from anger if anything like that ever happened to my mom. I'd probably kill the guy.
No. You could prove negligence, but the injury is so minor you might end up hurting your wallet might suffer more than its worth.
Also, most lawyers would probably see this as a waste of time anyways.....the injury is way too minor....
Sue the cute girl and the kid.
