I'm trying to play a game in full screen but the game just wont!

I am trying to play a game on my laptop, the game has virtually no settings for display, I have changed my screen res and I still can only get this game to run windowed or full screen (The game is squared on a 1280x800 screen) 
 
Does anyone know wtf?

haha, while i will admit that i'm interested in finding out, saying something like Doom 2 on Windows 7 would make a difference :o

no its a very unpopular game, a cricket one actually... trying to play it online cuz i just got a new internet stick.

Go to the game's file location on your computer. It may have a file that will appear as code. Look for "display" and put it "full screen" to replace whatever it says after "display" (KEEP A SEPARATE COPY OF THESE CODES! If you do something wrong, you'll be screwed. Copy it, save it as a different document somewhere else. Just in case)
 
If that doesn't work, I don't know what else you can do.
