I'm leaving ComicVine.

I haven't even reached 300 post counts yet I really can't stand the trolls and fanboys. It gets really tedious. So I am leaving don't expect me back. Time to focus on the real life now. Maybe I'll find a new site and meet some of you there or at least a user with the same name. I'm also pretty sure I'll get banned if I stay here. Most people are pretty ignorant and it makes me want to flip out on them. So I'll save everyone time and leave. Expect me gone by tomorrow. I might post a little bit more today and tomorrow just letting people know how I feel then I'll be gone with the wind....

staff and maybe mods yes but "really known" users shouldn't make them because "really known" users should know that we already have a thread to say hi/goodbye in

I don't really have a problem with these things as long as they are legitimate and the user is actually leaving and wants to say goodbye. Often these are just used as ways to get some attention and the user isn't even leaving. Not saying that is the case here cause I don't know.

No I dont agree,either all users should be able to make these threads (which is kind of redundant) or no one should since there is already a thread for that.

I am just saying that some people are more known, like you said, it would be a bit redundant, but if only (lets assume staff/mods, famous users) did so, it wouldn't be so redundant, because there are only so many of the people I listed. But I respect your opinion.

It is redundant because of that thread so if a mod or more well known users can make threads then I dont see why other users cant.

I'm not saying there should be a rule or something of the sort against it, just that it is only really relevant for those type of users to do so, not to put anyone down.

Since everyone is an individual, I have no problem with a person who is really leaving, making a good bye thread. Who wants to post in a thread that has so many post that no one will notice they are leaving? Get some attention. Get noticed. See who will miss you. Nothing wrong with that.

@InnerAssassin Does the number of fanboys and trolls outnumber the people you enjoyed talking too? Why not just ignore the trolls? Don't respond to the fanboys. When you see they responded in your inbox, just delete the message without reading it. Some people I don't respond to no matter how many times they message me.

Don't leave.

If your reasons are trolls and fanboys, you're leaving for all the wrong reasons.
