:sigh: it was decided my mom will come home today with hospice care and her dr gave her a maximum of 2 months. they already dropped off the bed and equipment yesterday. i finally broke down and had a talk with my sister because i havent been able to cry ever since this whole thing happened so it was nice i was able to.

im fine now and this may sound like a bad thing to some but a part of me kind of hopes she go's quick because i cant even imagine what its like to be pretty much paralyzed and have a form of memory loss. she also has had bedsores and a cathator put in.

@tazzmission: Oh my that's such sad news. I'm sorry about your mother's condition and I hope she spends her last few months peacefully surrounded by the care and love of friends and family. Take care of her and yourself mate, it's best if you get all the support you can.

The same situation (excluding the expectancy) happened to me quite recently, I am so sorry to hear about her, its a tough situation you're in and I have no doubt it will be hard to get through.

Despite that, you must truck through the fact that these are her last days so that you can ignore that fact and enjoy the time with her. As my friend told me:

"You can't stop the rollercoaster from ending, no matter how much you want, but you can make it one hell of a ride."

It may sound corny, but it is true. It might be too late to save her, but that doesn't mean it is too late to make her last days the best.

Sorry to hear about your mother. My thoughts and prayers are with you. If you would like medical help for her, please PM me, if she can still swallow capsules and drink smoothies; though it looks bleak, sometimes miracles can happen. I know of a case of someone who was in a similar condition, but, 15 years later he was having a talk with me and told me about saving his own life, but the cost was 85 capsules a day; I know ways to reduce that number, but it depends on your mother's condition as to the treatment I'd recommend.
