who would it be
if you were a superhero......
Aquaman or Green Arrow
cos I'd be a King / Billionaire and have a super hot wife. (Ollie and Dinah are still together in my mind damnit!)
black panther. genius level intellect, i have great fighting skills, i am a king, rich and can have any woman i want.
or spider-man.
Well obviously everyone is going to pick someone who's basically omnipotent.
I'd be Batman (with the exception of the dead parents). Peak human condition, exceptional hand-to-hand combat skills, superior intellect, tons of gadgets, gets the chicks, rich, and one of the best costumes in comic book history.
I wish I could say someone like Superman with strong values and morals but in all actuality I'm more akin to a spaz like Freakazoid.
Wolverine.
Superman
Silver Surfer
Man who ever would of guessed you guy would pick those.

Silver Surfer

Buuuuurn!
@pr0metheus: What you did there, I see it :D
Between:
- Superman. No need for explanation.
- Spider-man cause he has awesome powers, a bunch of ultra sexy girls (Mary-Jane Watson, Silver Sable, Ms Marvel, Black Cat, Gwen Stacy, betty brant, carlie cooper), rich (cause of big time), genius level intelligence and awesome friends (avengers and x-men)
- Green lantern cause his powers are awesome.
- Nova cause of his powers and cause of his hot babe Gamora.
Ghost Rider or Silver Surfer, though SS has an advantage, he can fly(and i like speed) and has matter manipulation.GR has penance stare and he can't die. Both looks cool
But I'd rather be Dr. Manhattan. He's practically a God.
Only because he's the only one with powers in his universe.
In any other universe, people like Silver Surfer would beat him up and take his lunch money.

Idk about that, Dr. Manhattan's powers seem to grant him control over time, space, and matter, and he's shown to be able to rebuild himself from absolute destuction. There was a thread around here recently about whether Dr. could beat the Hulk (was trying to find but search is being funky for me) and the general consensus was that not only could he beat him, but he could actually reverse the gamma radiation on Banner and make him a regular person again. Silver Surfer is a little trickier match to gauge but I'd put my money on Dr. Manhattan.

No sh!t! Silver Surfer, Captain Atom etc. can all do that, on a universal scale too. Far above anything Manhattan has ever shown.

Oh wow *Cough* that's amazing *Cough* it's not like *cough cough* Silver Surfer has ever done something *cough* like that.
Oh wait, Silver Surfer actually has done that while Manhattan has never done anything like it, and has never actually shown to have any control over stuff like time or radiation. Just matter. On a very small scale.
@sheenlantern: Meh, I'm not really a Hulk fan so I don't know who's done that to him, but obviously Dr. Manhattan hasn't as they live in totally different universes. Also, unlike Silver Surfer, we don't have the luxury of decades worth of stories to browse through for Dr. Manhattan, so the extent of his abilities is largely unknown. And I guess if you think killing a man by removing the intrinsic field of the atoms composing him, causing them to dissipate into nothingness with just a minute gesture is matter manipulation on a "very smallscale," well I guess that's kind of your problem since SS actually hits things to lesser effect. But let's not forget, rebuilding yourself atom by atom from nothingness. I don't know what more you're looking for for powerful matter manipulation. As for not shown to have control over time, the dude is able to be in multiple locations at the same time and he lives his life not as a sequence, but all at once in different times and locations. Just because you can't travel back in time to kill Hitler doesn't mean you don't have control over time. I think your understanding of the character is very limited if you think he only has a small amount of powers, but I don't want to keep arguing about it. If you really want to see how they'd compare do a battle thread for them. My bet's still on Manhattan.

What, you mean compared to Surfer holding the entire Earth together when Molecule Man was in a coma? Yeah, I think disintegrating a man and remaking a 6ft man from atoms is on an embarrassingly small scale of matter manipulation.

Let me just break that sentence down and see if it makes any sense whatsoever...
"As for not having control over time, the dude is able to *Completely unrelated to time manipulation* Just because you can't travel back in time doesn't mean you don't have control over time"
Nope, no sense.
Oh, and what about the fact that Manhattan couldn't even stop all of Russia's nukes?
I'll take Agent Venom's symbiote or Peter Parker's spider-powers and intellect any day. Spawn's powers are awesome, but I don't like the whole "selling my soul" that comes with it. Wolverine's healing and adamantium bones would be nice in my line of work, but I'd prefer a symbiote with spider-powers and bullet-proofness or outright spider-powers with the sense and speed to dodge bullets.
I think many here have a ''battle'' mindset, and are only picking characters because they're insanely powerful. You have to BE the person all the time. Do you really wanna be living energy like Captain Atom? or whatever the hell Doc Manhattan or Silver Surfer are? Do you really wanna be Superman and have to live off a reporter's salary? Or Spider-Man and constantly worry about those you care about?
That's why I picked Aquaman
1. He' physically strong and invulnerable
2. He's the king of 70% of the world
3. He is very wealthy because of his king status
4. He is the leader of a powerful military
5. He controls some of the deadliest creatures on the planet
6. He's handsome
7. He has access to mystical items
8. He's a warrior
9. He goes home to this every night.:
i'd change my mind spider-man or the flash. with spider-man's powers at least i get mary jane. with the flash's powers i can time travel. or aquaman.

Actually Captain atom can make himself a human body to go on dates. :D
