Secret Santa? lol
Ideas for the staff vids...
I'm really new here but I would love to see a staff video on what you do on the average day. You guys always seem busy as hell and I would just like to know what you do on the typical day. By the way this is one of the best websites on the internet!
I want to see more babs, and less clothes.
Also, I would like the first part of the review to be non-spoiler, and the second part to actually discuss the comic you're reviewing.
What I want above and beyond are retro reviews. I may get chewed out for this, but I’m just not a fan of modern Marvel, picky with contemporary DC, and mostly evolved into a completely independent comic reader these days. However, classic Silver Age Marvel is just the peak of the comic book in my opinion. For that matter, Bronze Age DC (especially Dennis O’Neil’s Batman “return to the dark” revival) is godly in my eye too. Why not do some Golden, Silver, and Bronze Age book reviews? They’re crucial to today’s readers and in my mind it’s always fun to look back and see the evolution, roots, and watermark story arch’s in a characters history. I’d even love to be the one to write the articles, my collection is mostly older stuff.
If Babs can rap, then so can the rest of the comicvine girls. Get on some collabs. Or have G-Man do some sort of rock/metal thing.
I want to see comic vine do comic book award videos ..like giant bomb does for the games they play !! :D
categories and nominations can be like...best creative team, best cover of the year, best character development ....
I think that will be quite a interesting feature to do...plus polls can be created , so that other users of comic vine can vote, who or what ,they want to win an award :) !!!
...." Babs and G-Man take over hosting Attack of the Show on G4 for a day would rule "
umm that babs chick dressed up in catwomans leather costume-cracking the whip --would be pretty sweet
"I would like to see weekly staff comic debates."
I would love to see that every week. I hope they view this topic.
" me going to see Jonah Hex dressed as a cowboy "LMAO. I might pay money to see that one.
" PINNED! Post your thoughts. I'm not saying we do requests but ya never know. "
I'd be great to do little segments where you run around the office asking just one question but polling everyone:
- How did you get into comics?
- Who is your favorite [public/popular/explaining-to-non-comic-fans] superhero ... and then who is your actual favorite superhero and why?
- Who was your favorite hero and why did that change?
- How did you get or pay for your first comics and how did you decide which ones to get?
- Reader or collector?
- What is your most prized comic-related possession?
- What is your most prized comic?
- What's your fall back hobby if there were no more comic books?
- What's your favorite comic book movie? Animated series? Videogame? Etc.
- What's your favorite comic book catchphrase, sound effect, or battle cry?
- If you could have one piece of comic book equipment, what would it be?
I think the "how did you get into comics" could be separate segments per person depending on the stories... but if that's too long you can change it up into "who got you into comics" because it always starts with someone!
To get the ball rolling, I've gotta share how I got into comics as a kid. My parents were immigrants to this country so English was not my first language. Although I could speak, write, and read in their language I was remedial at English- often mixing their tongue in with English at school. My first grade teacher grew frustrated with me and said that I was a dummy who would never learn to read. Despite this, she pushed me through so that she wouldn't have to deal with me. My second grade teacher, Mrs. Goodman confronted her saying I should repeat the 1st grade, but if that 1st grade teacher wouldn't teach me, Mrs. Goodman would. She spent extra time with me outside of class hours teaching me, but the turning point came when she started giving me stacks of comic books to learn from and suddenly I got very motivated so I could make sense of what was going on. Before the year was out, I was reading at an advanced level (literally reading through Britannica). Mrs. Goodman even had me go back to the 1st grade teacher's class to read the students a story at one point (not a comic book, though, ha).
Obviously, I owe it more to Mrs. Goodman than anything else, but comic books played a big role and always been into them ever since! :-)
you could promote killing off one of the staff members and then bring them back later after they journey through time or something, or marry two of the staff members, or give a staff member a new outfit or title.

ComicVine Multiverse, perhaps? Crisis on ComicVine Earths? Maybe G-Man could do a 'House of G' storyline" you could promote killing off one of the staff members and then bring them back later after they journey through time or something, or marry two of the staff members, or give a staff member a new outfit or title. " Staff Basketball game G-Man team v.s Red L.A.M.P teamor just a video game tournament between the two of them to see who posesses superior Skillz "And some more Dark Horse/Image video reviews.
What should I know about daredevil if I want to read Shadowland?
Did anything happen in Blackest Night that I need to know to enjoy Brightest day?
Return of Bruce Wayne? Do I start at RIP or Final Crisis as far back as No Mans Land even?
Dont even get me started on Xmen
Things can get a bit hard to follow if its not one of your regular books.
I feel like we need a primer course for guys that are familiar with the characters but havent kept up to date.

" @inferiorego: wheres the jedi saber fight between you and gman lol ! "It never happened. Neither of us own lightsabers. They cost billions of dollars.
" @inferiorego: Go for plastic and bust out some editing tool on video , the comedy factor alone would be worth the investment "Next time I go to San Fran, or GMan comes to Chicago, we'll try this out.

When we were at Comic-Con Red LAMP wanted a video of me getting arrested... I said "NO!"
Maybe someone else more willing could get arrested... :/
What about Battle Vids?
Probably already said, but I don't feel like reading thru all these pages XD
Donkey Kong Surprise (I have done this to someone LOL) The short of it is you dress up in a gorilla costume, jump out of nowhere, and throw a barrel at someone... Donkey Kong Surprise! LMAO (I dunno what made me think of this prank beyond watching King of Kong and wanting to bean Billy Mitchell with a barrel and that my new house just happened to have a wooden barrel in the garage when I moved in)
i remember when there was a video where the top dogs here had a push-up contest.
no effects or nothing, just your basic home video type thing with everyone in their natural
state of being. i love stuff like that, and remember it went over well. more things like that.
more just hanging out doing random things.
