I guess a lot of women want to end women's suffering...
That's awesome.
I don't actually think it's that bad that they don't know what suffrage is. It's an outdated term. I'm not sure when I learned it, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was well into my college years.
However, it is a big condemnation to these people that they signed something without taking the time to understand anything about it. Even if you thought suffrage meant suffering, you should still be asking, "What specific policies is this petition endorsing?"
I had some people outside a library try to get me to sign a petition on a local matter. When I asked them for details of the project they wanted me to oppose, they had zero substantive answers and became ridiculously defensive. I don't think they were being nefarious; I think they were just genuinely shocked to find someone who wanted to understand an issue before either dismissing or endorsing it.
We deserve what we get, my fellow United States citizens.
ayy lmao
Wow, the sexism on this board is disgusting.
I got some new thread ideas for you though. Such as why is Dragon Ball Z so sexist?

Troll.

This thread is an example of not satire.
And people say fanboys only like comics because of the colorful pictures...! Way to prove them wrong! lol
The only way to end a woman's suffering is by putting her in the kitchen.
But what if we're awful cooks?
@saint_sophie: then you are no use to us. Women only have one job, one job! Trust me I'm a ladies man ;)
Jk
I could just imagine if it was the other way around..
Jimmy Kimmel did this first, and if I recall correctly, in the booth that they set this up, both men and women signed the petition.
Just shows you that the political ignorance in America is more common than you think.
I'd imagine if you start a petition to ban the chemical dihydrogen monoxide by stating facts that this compound kills more humans than any other chemical in the world, there would be a lot of support; until they find out that dihydrogen monoxide is water.
This is fantastic. Not only is this a college (come on, I learned what suffrage was in middle school), but it's WOMAN'S STUDIES.
Don't know whether this is a testament to stupidity of the average person, or how it's not a real degree.
Or if all the people walking by were just passing through and aren't taking classes there. Not as funny but it needed to be said.
@axelroq: Misogyny!
