Just wondering if anyone has seen the films and what do you think to them? Do you like them or not and why?

#2 Posted by Bogey (930 posts) - - Show Bio

We need more of them in society.

I only saw the first one. I thought it was too disgusting.

Well the second one is worse.

I read the plot online, but was too chicken to actually watch it. Frankly it sounds disgusting and twisted if Roger Ebert's review is any indication. A friend of mine did see it though. He didn't like it.

Couldn't think of anything worse. I hate movies like that.

Nah, the "couldn't think of anything worse" was referring to me thinking that there's nothing worse than the idea of watching them.

I saw both. They are dumb and not as disgusting as most would think.

I agree,I just thought it might just be because I have a strong stomach for gore, though it is all subjective,in regards to how people feel and react to certain things etc.

Saw them both. Not very good movies at all.

The world would be better off with it. I would be a lot happier had I never learned their existence before it.

Is it that bad? I feel that way about Alien vs Predator Requiem.

Not a fan of them...at all.

Oh, yes. I really hate Alien vs Predator Requiem by the way. And that movie is just feather-weight next to the f****g Human Centipede. But there is only one that probably blows them out of water in terms of horrific badness: A Serbian Film.

#25 Posted by CptPanda29 (211 posts) - - Show Bio

If you aren't a fan of bodyhorror or bodyshock (or something) then these aren't for you. I hate that sh*t too but watched them both.

Creeped me out and couldn't shake the first for a long time, then all of a sudden I realized how stupid the entire thing is. 100% medically accurate? Yeah they die. That's exactly what would happen.

2nd one had no redeeming value to it, the doctor in the first was mesmerizing by being such a twisted freak and despite this monster being on screen my eyes were drawn to him. 2nd is just really bad, the I'm over the meta side of it and it just struck me as cashing in on the first.

Human Centipede might be terrible but I think AVPR is worse, really because the franchise is more beloved and is better than a B move.

I hate to break it to you but the Human Centipede is My Little Pony compared to A Serbian Film and Cannibal Holocaust.

Meh. Once you get past the gimmick, there is little else there.

There was another movie made after the first one?

(You know I didn't see the first, lol -- but still -- another one made...omg)

#30 Posted by mikethekiller (8279 posts) - - Show Bio

Human centipede was a lame movie so I haven't had any desire to see the second one.

There was. Not to be confused with the less popular spoof, The Human Sanipad :P

I know I won't like it, so I saved myself from it.

I havent bothered to watch it.. As a collector of less reputiable movies I gotta say it gets tiring quickly with movies made purely for shock value, if thats what you are really after theres most likely better movies out there and once you seen one you have seen them all.. No, I feel like these movies are just trying to milk some money out of the current youth's fascination with the bizarre, its like some sort of rite of passage these days to watch this sort of stuff to be one of the big kids.

#35 Posted by cosmicx (102 posts) - - Show Bio

I thought the first one was messed up until I seen the second one.

#36 Posted by TDK_1997 (14387 posts) - - Show Bio

I only watched the first one and after seeing it I was like 'WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?' and I decided not to see the second one.

...I got halfway through the 1st one before my Granma walked in...

She looked at the Tv , then at me, then at the door.

She chose the door

Seen them both. Honestly its not something you want to watch unless you're in the right frame of mind lol. The second is really disturbing don't think i'll watch it again.

#41 Posted by Deranged Midget (17599 posts) - - Show Bio

My friend and I skimmed through the first one just to get an idea what it was about. Never bothered watching the entire thing.

Yeah the second one is worse. The mentally handicapped guy was a lot more brutal. I mean...STAPLES? Really?

#43 Posted by Dabee (2371 posts) - - Show Bio

I watched both all of the way through. I really thought the whole concept was just so over the top that it was kind of funny, in a shocking way. I guess I'd recommend them, as they're an icon now in the "shock" genre.

Meh, poor movie that depends purely on shock value

Never seen the sequel but the original one had no redeeming qualities whatsoever, just a crappy film that thinks its unique because its so "gross" and "disturbing"
