This achievement would be rare indeed
@xlab3000: Ah, okay.
@Living_Monstrosity: Then don't play Call of Duty lol.
Sony is including a PSEye and a mic with every PS4 console, and the PSN is still going to be free. With the free mic the online community will soar for Sony.
So Xbox won't have any advantage.
@KINGJAMES447:
ps4 is the better console in terms of tec but yes xbox will sell more
the same way COD sells more.
Honestly I think it will come down to pricing, exclusives and brand that define the sales of each console. I don't expect an immediate jump for most gamers to either.
Xbox Live isn't even that expensive. Not expensive enough to make that much of a difference anyways.
I just know that I'll end up buying both....PS4 will announce Uncharted 4 and that will have me buying it....Xbox will announce Halo 5 and that will have me buying that....sigh
I actually expect it to go free since it seems like the big thing about these next-gen consoles is having a feature some other console has had for years.
Wii U - HD Graphics that we've seen since 2005.
PS4 - Cross game chat that we've seen since 2005.
Xbox 720 - Free online that we've seen since 2006?
Even then though, it's not going to automatically make the Xbox outsell Playstation. People still forget that Playstation is the big name, most popular and familiar brand for most console players. The Xbox kind of got lucky this generation because of the PS3's two year drought and extremely inaccessible $600 launch price. Even then the PS3 caught up to the 360 in sales.
Relax both xbox and ps are awesome.
xbox has cooler exclusives and is better online.
Ps is free online and is extra durable.
Both have their flaws
Xbox:you have to pay to play online(60$ a year isn't that much),breaks 50% of the time(old consoles the new ones are 10%)
Playstaion:online isn't that great and updates take ages to install.
But we can agree PC>>>>>>>PS and XBOX
ya but if they went free than except for being able to play multiplayer games together the online service would suck like ps4 does.. the way I see it is the money you pay for xbox live gives you the service and extras that psn net does not... I mean really you can't even chat with people if you are not playing that game without having to stand on your head, blink one eye and say candyman 5-times.
I'm fine paying for a far superior service (and i have both a ps3 and an xbox360)
What I like about the PS4 is the ability to play games you purchase as they are downloading and not having to wait for a long install to complete. I'm not all that interested in playing games in a cloud though. The cameras being included also worry me.
1984 anyone?
@JediXMan: Haha, the PS Move as well as the Kinect (and even the wii) never really seemed appealing. I don't want to exercise when I play a console game, I want to relax. If I'm moving I'd rather go outside and play basketball or something.

I will say that motion control is kind of fun for shooters; the Metroid Primes on the Wii are great. But it's not refined enough right now. It feels clunky and there's an irritating response delay.
@JediXMan:I should give it a try then. I think the only wii game I played was that newer Mario Kart, but it was at a friend's house and he had one of those wii steering wheels for the racing games. That was actually kind of neat.

Ugh. The steering wheel is terrible, especially for tight turns.
But yeah, the Metroid Prime games are good. Oddly, the first two games are from the Game Cube, but they did a good job adapting the controls for the Wii - they play like MP: Corruption, which is for the Wii.
@JediXMan:Yeah I kept hitting the walls and wouldn't even make it in the top 5 during races, but it was kind of like playing in an arcade which I already miss - they all went out of business where I'm located and I imagine it's the same in a lot of places.

- Rachel Caslin · Works at Freelance MusicianWell... based on statistics... the ratio of working PS3s in the US vs the amount of working 360's in the US is higher... approximately 27:23 this is based on PS3 selling 15 million consoles with only a 10% failure rate vs the 360 selling 25 million consoles with a whopping 54% failure rate... basically 13,500,000 working PS3s vs 11,500,000 working 360's.
- Rachel Caslin · Works at Freelance Musicianmaybe 360 fanboys are jumping ship after their 3rd 360 gets RRoD.
- John Nieves · All Hallows High SchoolPs3 is catching up quick. It still sold good when the psn was down.
- Kuwashi A. Paigne · Union, New JerseyYo TJ Harris that makes absolutely no sense. you should learn how sales are calculated and learn some basic econ and business. if sony was to buy consoles, sales would not climb and would not show in profits for the ps3 which is the ultimate goal. also as much as the media tried to make the psn breach look like it was a catastrophic failure, NOONE's leaked info was used since all credit card numbers were encrypted. Banks and sony have confirmed this. finally, microsoft used the same system as sony at the time so if u think only sony was vulnerable then ur ignorant.

EPIC WIN EPIC WIN EPIC WIN!- Aaron Fesser · Top Commenter · Northern Illinois Universityepic winning is Nintendo shipping a console that cost a fraction as much and appealed to a very wide audience. Granted the longevity was not there in the hardware which they as much admitted with the wii u. Nintendo got the epic win for this generation. Microsoft will get the 'epic win' the next round. Sony has been playing catch-up for years now. If they decided to be a leader instead of just followers they may have a shot. I doubt it will change though. Ultimately it is content that determines the longevity and profitability of a console - and if that is your measure of success, Microsoft is skill wiping the floor with Sony.
- Robert Walters · Follow · Top Commenter · Marina High SchoolI always find it interesting that in these discussions they never adress software sales and who is leading in that department..
It's also interesting to note that in this discussion "experts" and fans alike are willing to point out the failure rate of 360 as a factor for sales, but fail to mention how more than a good amount of ps3's were sold as nothing more than blu-ray players at a time when dedicated players were $600.00 more and not near as good.
Let me also point out that ps3's have been well known to be the best media boxes out there, and until the last major update on live was the only media box to support both Netflix and hulu. Something not lost on media savvy buyers.
Let's look at software and then discuss who the true numbers 1,2 and 3 are.- Rachel Caslin · Works at Freelance Musicianbut say a 360 user has a stack of 20 games which would cost him 30 dollars each on average to replace with PS3 copies and let's also say that gamestop would pay him 5 dollars each for the used 360 games... and his 360 gets RRoD... now... is he gonna buy a PS3 for 300 and have to shell out another 500 dollars to replace the games making a total of 800 dollars... or will he simply buiy another 360 for 300 and hope and pray it don't get RRoD? Most like he will do the latter and not the former
