He is not a bad writer....he just doesn't maintain team books all that well. I really liked his run on Daredevil.

Haven't read that much on him, except Ultimate Spider-Man, why do people hate him? I've rather enjoyed his work but I am clearly missing something.

2 of the best books being published by Marvel right now are written by Bendis....Spider-men which is the best mini/crossover/series in years is written by him....hating on Bendis/Johns is just the douchey thing to do at the moment

I don't hate Bendis, I envy him. He's a talented writer, he has all the opportunity in the world to make a positive mark on the Marvel Universe and he just doesn't. I don't know if Marvel is holding him back and telling him not to do certain things or if they are giving him freedom that he doesn't utilize well.

In all honesty i love his work with ultimate spider-man. Peter was great and miles is growing on me. However lets say undecided with his 616 marvel stuff.

He's great on solo series. His Ultimate Spider-Man and run on Daredevil are good reads. It's on team books he can ruin things yet they somehow sell.

8-9. Ultimate Spider-Man was just okay to me, but I didn't hate it. I hate pretty much everything else.

I'd rate my extreme dislike to about 7.5 to 8 (if I'm being particularly murderous).

His old Ultimate Spider-man stuff was great! But then it got weird...Venom became a joke....Gwen Stacy was turned into Carnage...Doc Ock was flipped from being a mad scientist to a psycho schizoid killer to a triple government agent. Green Goblin and Hobgoblin into Etrigan clones.

For this rape of my childhood, I hold him responsible for.

A lot. Stick to Ultimate Spider-Man, and leave the Avengers alone... Poor Sentry... And Ares... And everyone else that died meaningless deaths at his pen...

Never read it. Seems like a direct rip-off of Age of X, though, and will probably end the same way.

Well I should say a lot because most of his work is garbage and with his ideas he ruined Marvel.But there are some good stuff from him.

Instead of saying how much I hate Bendis (I'm honestly not sure about that one), I'll just list some of the things he's done that I hate:

-Made it so everyone is an Avenger now

-Pretty much started Marvel's "we need a massive crossover every year" problem with Avengers Disassembled

-Single-handedly destroyed the X-Men with House of M

-Undid the ending of Thanos Imperative with no explanation

One word: Siege.

Both Bendis and Geoff Johns make me want to punch kittens. I have a love/hate relationship with their work. Especially Geoff though. He really gets me fraking angry sometimes.

You graded your own performance? Anyway, Bendis is a good writer. A great writer, at that. Love his work.

I think Geoff Johns is awesome too.
