How much energy would it require to bust the sun compared to earth?
In other words, if someone had the power to bust our sun, how many earths could they bust?

@thitiki: A bunch of stars.
That depends on how this hypothetical person "bust" our sun. For instance, they're weapons in the Star Wars universe (Sun Crusher, Corsair) that causes stars to explode via a chain reaction in it's core, which causes it to become unstable and collapses - thus causing it to destroy itself.
the sun is 3 million times bigger than Earth. If it takes 53 quadrillion megatons of force to destroy Earth, multiply 53 quadrillion by 3 million. 159,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 megatons of force. Or 159 sextillion megatons of force.
Or you could cause a chain reaction that would result in the suns collapse by 19-25k directly in the suns core.
The power of a hyper nova (Yes that's a real thing and it creates black holes. You asked for a physicist didn't you?)
