I know from firsthand that comics could place a huge dent into your wallets, rendering most of us broke after leaving the comic shop. Just wondering what's everyone else's budget is on comics. I've recently dropped some titles, knowing that I couldn't go on to buy the issues that I wanted to for a long-period of time. However within these last couple weeks, I've went back to my collector's mentality and started to pick up on titles that seemed to be the most talked about and intriguing, defeating the purpose of cutting down my pull list in the first place. Soon enough I'm gonna have to narrow it down again, but with all these crossovers it's gonna be pretty hard to do so. Who else is in the same pickle as I am and what are you paying for comics, monthly?

Usually about $16 due to the lower price of DC digital comics.

$20-$25 I try to keep it low. Buy what I really want to read then wait for other series to be collected in volumes and I'll buy those when they release.

I am going to have to cut my pull-list substantially to accommodate higher rent. I spend upwards of $200 a month now and probably more because I have been dabbling in some indies but I won't be able to afford soon.

Kind of depressing.

50 bucks. I occasionally spend more by adding in a trade.

Around $8-$10, which is at least two comics. That reminds me, I just got the latest Godzilla book today...

I've dwindled down to spending about $20/month, not including trades, which I'll usually pick one up every couple of months.

Lol, I never said how much I spend a week and I made the post. I waste about $100 a month including the trades too. Trades are almost the route I might take, but I really like grabbing issues and knowing what happened now rather than wait another month or two to find out. It's a pain, cause I used to just go once or twice a month or even 3x a month to grab issues knowing there was a pull list for me, however nowadays not sure what's up but some comic bandit is coming in and raiding all the boxes or something cause they seem to be not getting issues in on time anymore! So, Nowadays I usually pre-order from Midtown and it works out really well as they come in the Friday of what was pre-ordered which is couple days I could wait. Midtown Comics online site is the way to go, I'm serious. Great site to order comics. Highly recommended. If there is a specific story arc or something major I'll go to my LCS and grab them off the shelves when it's released.

@markies: What I meant to say was time but it came out tume for some reason, lol. And ya that was one of the main reasons why I joined Comic Vine in the first place to be honest. I didn't read any comics for about couple years cause I was surfing a whole lot, traveling, and had my girlfriend (now ex-girlfriend) to deal with so I wasn't really able to. This was a great way to get back on track and keep updated with current news.

It pains me that all the big titles cost $3.99 each. Every month I buy Superior Spider-man, Avengers, New Avengers, Captain America, Nova, and Guardians of the Galaxy. Plus I usually pick up a back issue or two. I'm a Marvel guy because of Spider-man and the Silver Surfer, and because I wouldn't be able to afford both the Marvel titles and DC titles as well. If comics were $1.99 instead, I'd buy a heckuva lot more!

I spend £17 on comics for my monthly pull list in British currency. In American currency, it comes to about $26.

@kcjr: All New 52 DC books are $1.99 if you buy digitally through Comixology. However, the 2 newest issues are always normal priced.

@laflux:

I avoided tallying it up for a long enough while that I don't really know. Recently on here I participated in a thread which had me rate the comics I buy and it was scary because I only submitted ones I was caught up on and not the ones I have yet to and the cost was more than what I said up top...

...plus all those pretty indies and graphic novels that whisper to me to take them home....

@rulerofthisuniverse: Cool, thanks. I'm still on the fence about digital comics even though I know it's the way everything is going. However if cheaper issues are the norm, I will probably come around. Plus my 2200+ collection is growing out of control, digital will make my wife happier.

Usually below $100. I read about 20 comics, sometimes a few more.
