I am pretty fast. Slow, sometimes. It depends on what mood I am in and where my mind is at.
How fast can you count money?
I have wally counting.
Thor counts mine.
@thitiki: THOR HAS NO SPEED FEATS
When I was a cashier at Dickey Mee's (my nickname for McDonald's), I could count money pretty quickly. If I didn't, I'd have a whiny customer telling me to hurry up.
I pretty much can't. It's a bit humiliating, but I have severe dyscalculia.
Even with the re-education and special classes I had throughout my early scholarity, I pretty much struggle with anything number related on a daily basis. No way I can count change without stopping and counting out loud, and if I'm gonna check my bank transactions it's gonna take me hours. And God forbid I have to do multiplications or divisions.
On the plus side, I had it easy through school as the maths and science teachers couldn't grade me on the accuracy of my results hahaha, only on the theories and formulas, which oddly enough I am very good at.
And accounting... For some reason I'm an accounting fucking master.
Dyscalculia makes no sense.
@starwatcher: Been down that road before. I don't have Dyscalculia, but I'm in the same boat. That may seem a bit vague, but the point is I know how ya feel.

It's really ridiculous how much impact in can have daily, isn't it?
Oh, the many times I've felt humiliated for not being able to count something from the top of my head or for making a huge calculation mistake. Even when I go shopping it's awful because I can't sum up the prices of things so I always spend a lot more than what I thought. When the cashier tells me how much I own I am always shocked. XD
And no one f@&%cking knows what dyscalculia is so I just look like an idiot in front of most people hahaha.
@starwatcher: It's hard for me to talk about it, because I don't feel comfortable disclosing any details online, but I know exactly what you mean. It's humiliating when you need to do something but just can't, even something that seems really simple. For me it's worse because I have something that a lot of people have heard about, but don't necessarily understand, and if they know about it they treat me very differently (which is why I'm not sharing it directly). Point is It's just like that for me, and I know the feeling.

Let's not talk about it then, but thanks for saying you know the feeling! :)
Hope things get better for you in the long run.
@starwatcher: Right back atcha :)
