How do you deal with break ups?

Typically I write, but I prefer to practice blackout drinking lol

I say every cliche, it's hilarious.

I play games and read the back of Cheez-it boxes

I go dumpster diving.

Very Badly.

I pretend that it does not really bother me even when it does.

And if I am the one who called it off, Apart from feeling guilty I am ok until she starts dating someone new and then I get really jealous, But again I pretend that it does not really bother me.

So a big dose of denial.

get sad for a bit smoke weed, play games, listen to upbeat music but i try to let myself feel it for atleast a week as we may make up in that time so i wouldnt want to do things that would jeopardize the possibility trying to go out sooner just gets messy when youre not ready in my case anyway. then a few boys night followed by meeting new girls and then the cycle begins anew

I go for a drive.

I don't think anything of it anymore, I just continue as if everything is normal. I know this is hard for some but life to short to stop for any little thing that does not go your way. That my opinion.

@thejman: Ehh idk if that would have fit here. Dexter says something like, "They make it so easy to connect with one another. Its like they don't know it's the hardest thing in the world" and that just wouldn't fit in a thread about failed relationships in my opinion. Never had to deal with a breakup, and I don't think I ever will.

But, seriously I've been married so long...I really don't know what to do if I had to become single again.

Possibly feel like your sucking a turd for about a year like I did lol. Other than my ex and my first gf (which I was a big baby about) I just do everything in my power to cut them out of my life and (before I got injured) I focused a LOT on martial arts. Now, I look like ten miles of rough road with a worse attitude so dating isn't a worry ;)

The same thing I was doing before I met the girl. I get on with my life, and talk to other women.

But seriously, I've never been in a relationship, so I don't know. Don't get it twisted, it's not like I can't get a girl or anything, that's false. In fact, I've had many of opportunities, just didn't go forward with it.

Throw yourself onto things that keep you busy and somewhat take your mind off of it. Only thing that is going to be of any help in a situation such as this, is time.

The old saying definitely rings true. Especially for breakups. Time heals all wounds

I am a really strong person, so I just move on. There's always tomorrow to look forward to, well atlest until you runout of tomorrow's, but why worry about that?

I've only had one break up and I wasn't really upset about it.

@comicstooge: bang as many chicks as I can and smoke, drink myself into a coma. Eventually, usually about a month later I feel way better. I am pretty sure I'm an expert in this field.

I can't remember the last time i had a real life friend and i never allowed myself to belive that the girls-who actually had a crush on me- had a crush on me. So... Go figure.

I prevent them, by becoming infatuated with dames, who don`t want to be in a relationship with me.

I told one I have feelings towards her. She didn`t feel the same.

One is 95 % lesbian.

Rest of them were/are in a relationship.

Soon I`m gonna tell my current crush I have feelings towards her. She`ll say she`s not interested in me, in that way.

Hang out with friends more so than normal. Tho being in high school it doesn't hurt so bad because most relationships are for more superficial (status, looks etc.) reasons so it doesn't mean as much.
