How American Are You ?

I am a 3rd generation American. My great grandparents came from Iceland. My great grandfather is from Norway and great grandmother is from Iceland.

I had a very interesting talk with a bunch of people today about family background.

Something odd is that i spoke with 3 females today that claim to have a direct line to General George Washington...which is BS.

After a little googling im able to say its 100% BS

My full name is rather interesting. Well the meaning of my names are

Dustin: Stone of Thor, Hayden: Heathen and or a type of field lol, and we will just leave my last name out of this but it ends in a son or sen depending on how you like to spell it.

I know next to nothing about my family history.

I'm so American that I only eat McDonald's.

I was born in Canada, and all of my immediate parents, grandparents, etc. are from Africa, so 0% American for me.

Replace Canada with Jamaica an Africa with Haiti, and boom, you got me.

Born in California. Mom and grandmother born on New York. Other than that, all I know is family from my mothers side came from Europe and from my fathers side, Puerto Rico and Mexico.

I was born in America and I live here but my parents, and everyone before them, were born and raised in Greece.

I'm mostly Belgian and a bit Spanish. My mother is a descendant from a Spanish pilgrim.

Most of my family as far as I know were immigrants who came to this country at least around the later 19th century. My dad's side originates in Mexico primarily, but with some Spanish, Native American and Mayan (?) influence. My mom's side is a little less contained as it consists of (primarily) German, English, French(?), Scottish (who then moved to Ireland), and Welsh I think.

My family are English as far back as can be remembered, but my surname itself is supposedly Anglo-Saxon in origin. My family also has a genetic defect called Dupuytren's contracture (no big deal) which is apparently linked primarily with Scandinavian genes.

So I guess the likelihood is that my ancestors were a mixture of Anglo-Saxons, original Britons, and Vikings.

Short answer not very American.

I am 1st generation American. My mother's side of the family is from Elsalvador and my father's side is Nicaraguan. My great grandmother (from my mom's side) was from Guatemala.

@mr_clockwork91: i live about an hour from a place called Roaring Springs Tx. Parker and his people would spend the winter down in this gorge. Its very beautiful! There is a water fall of course...Roaring Springs lol. If you follow the water before it falls off you will find the place where it bubbles out of the ground. You can dive down into the bubbling hole and swim about 45 yards and come to a huge opening under the water. When you want to come out just hold your breath and the current will take you back to the top. But if its raining the water cavern thing is to small.

This spring place is cool ! You can find places were the tribes females would grind corn or whatever in the stones.

Scottish born and bred and my family are Romanichal so 0% American.

I was born in Gotham and raised in Bludhaven so i'm 100% American.

My dad's family came to 'Merica in the 19th century/early 20th, so I'm pretty American.

I know that my Great grandparents and grand father came to the U.S from Italy during ww2. I'm not sure about my other family members. I know my mom and dad were born in the U.S

I'm Irish my mom is Irish my dad is English. His family come from Austria and Poland her family come from Ireland and England...........................not even slightly American.

Born in the US, don't identify as such though. Never have. Never developed any real patriotism.
