No one's perfect.
No one's better than anyone.
So why set standards? Is it really worth it?
Standards =/= Preference.

*Robin Williams to Matt Damon*
"So call her up Romeo."
"Why, so I can realize she's not that smart, that she's *&^% boring? This girl's like ^%%^ perfect right now, I don't want to ruin that."
"Maybe you're perfect right now and you don't want to ruin that."
Seriously, it is worth it.
If you've found the right person.
Understand, it only works if both side give 100%. 50 - 50 don't cut it. People are imperfect...everyone has their "little idiosyncrasies", but are you both committed to making it work? Also, the more your goals and values align, the easier it is to make it work.
@mysticmedivh: lmfao !
Setting standards doesn't mean you can't find a compromise.
This.
I believe that, if somebody is humble, they tend to be worth talking to. My only standard is that they must try to understand what I need as much as I try to understand them.
No one should have standards? Don't be ridiculous. You have to be attracted both emotionally and physically to whomever you're in a relationship with.
@ryagan: HIGH standards.. HIGH.
