Have you ever witnessed something you couldn't explain?

Normally i'm not one to believe in things like ghost or demons or spirits, but recently (5 minutes ago) I witnessed something I just couldn't explain. And the best part? I caught it all on tape.

I just recently bought an iPhone 4s and I have been going crazy with the video. I mean... how awesome is it that you can record yourself and send all your annoyingness to all your friends in seconds. They all hate it but I love recording myself just to tell them to have a bad day or to remind them that safety is an illusion.

Anyways.. the point is I have been recording myself a lot. And tonight I was talking to this girl and she asked me to sing for her and send her the video afterwards through email. After hesitance, I finally built up the courage to do so and when I started recording I got embarrassed and turned the phone away from my face (while still singing) so it wouldn't record me. When I did so the phone caught a reflection from my dad's glass cabinet. The reflection was that of a dark shaped figure. The creepy part is that the hall where the dark figure was seen was completely lit up, so it had to be something physical not just a shadow of something. I have it on tape but there's no way in hell that i'm uploading it on Youtube due to the fact that I don't want the world to hear my beautiful voice. I'm also home alone and it's 2:20 AM where I live so i'm probably not going to sleep tonight. So have you ever witnessed anything you couldn't explain? and what explanation could there possibly be for the shadowy figure? The only thing in my hall is wall and tile, nothing else. And the only thing in the cabinet is crystal wine glasses that are completely see through... Im just freaking out kind of. I recorded the same spot again and nothing appears.... It actually appears to move a little bit closer towards the end of the video... I just have no clue how to respond to something like this. I trapped myself in my room and have every light in the house turned on. I feel like a little girl :P

But it's not there anymore. Now the only thing that appears in the glass in the actual hall. It had a humanoid shape too (head, arms, torso)

well here goes dont laugh: so i was like 15-16 around that age and at the time one the later harry potter books came out and i was reading it like a crazy person day and night. i remember one night it was like 2-3 in the morning and i was reading it with a flashlight under the covers. then my father wakes up goes to the kitchen for whatever andsees the light and tells me to go to bed. of course as soon as he closes my door i go back to reading. now this is where it gets fucked up for me. i read on righ and then the door cracks open i assume its dad i come from under the covers put the book on the nightstand and say ok ok im going to bed. nothing. cuz i didnt hear him close the door i said close it. nothing. i lift my head and look at the door it very dark but i could make out 2 shinny glowing eyes-like things but very fade-like and they were at eye level. i froze. i say dad? but they were gone. i jumped from my bed turned on the lights and barricaded the door. slept with the lights on. next morning asked dad and mom if it was them they said no. next night i almost nailed my door closed. FREAKY SH!T.

That would make sense if it were a photo. This is video and my hand is shaking the entire time and it doesn't leave the reflection. It only appears to glide a little bit forward which is creeping me out even more. Maybe i'm just over thinking it.

yes, but i'm not crazy I once was sleeping and I woke up in the middle of the night. There was a net to protect from mosquitoes around my bed (I don't know how you actually call it in English) so i looked and a hand was touching the net. I tought it was my brother so i said stop it, brother. it didn't stop than i put my light on and there was nothing. i think because i just woke up I had some kind of hallucination or something.

As humans we are incredibly creative and imaginative and some times people just look at things like seeing things in photos as being ghosts without actually taking the time to think what it is,maybe that's because we want it to be something more than it actually is.

Way to polarize, step on a soapbox, and feed us your opinions that are unrelated to what the Original Poster is actually asking.

I can explain my own behavior through the many different perspectives of psychology, and yet it doesn't mean that the actual reason I stroke my goatee is evolutionary or genetic or cultural. The explanations are still just theories or possibilities.

@mrdecepticonleader: You i know that a lot of people out there think that way but i dont buy that for one second. Why? Number one,everysince i was little a people ive been around at various stages in my life have told me that they have experience wierd things that that they cant explain. Now the part that i always found puzzling was that in any other facet of life these were sane thinking people,which begged for me to ask myself way on these particular topics would they not be on the up and up. Secondly when i finally had my own experiences there was just no and i mean no way to explain it through science. And third and most importantly, at every level of our existence we as human beings always thought we knew everything i mean at some point in history if were to run around say "the world is round" everyone would have thought you were crazy because at that time people thought world was flat.Before "columbus" (yeah right) discovered america if u would say "hey man if u sail across the ocean goin west for three months you'll run into the continents of north and south america. The point is everything can not be explain with pure scientific thinking,we as a species are so egotistical in our approach to finding knowledge it really amazes me we have lasted this long.

@RUDEMIESTER: describe the glass cabinet, maybe what you saw was something inside of it or something, or just an illusion.

@difficlus: The glass cabinet is tilted to the side so that if you were to look at it at night, you could see directly down the hall from anywhere in the living room (especially on the couch where I was). The entire place was pitch black except the hall which has four bright lights. When the whole house is dark and the hall light is on, the items in the cabinet don't become visible due to how dark the place is. And inside the cabinet there are nothing but crystal wine glasses which can't and don't produce a shape or a dark shadow that big or define. The entire hall is completely visible at night because of how close they are. The cabinet and the entry way to the hall are about 7 feet away from one another. The video caught the shape of something standing right next to our grandfather clock directly in the entry way of the hall facing the cabinet. It had the shape of a head, arms and even the torso. I just have no explanation for it... The only light available in the video is the small blue tint from the TV and the glaring hall light. I hope the phone just had a glitch or something. I know it's highly unlikely because the object remained in the same spot even though my hand was slightly moving.
