No, BUT, when my grandma was a librarian, Michael Douglass was the lawn boy at the school she worked at. His parents weren't around a lot, so one day she was giving him a ride home, and he asked my g-ma if she could make a cake for his b-day (she was kinda a local idol in the cooking department) but she was prego with my dad so she said no. Apparently, the woman who DID make a cake for him and her husband are now invited to his annual parties....true story

I've seen Judy Collins when I was young and Micky Dolenz recently. I waited patiently for Collins to finish her conversation so I could get an autograph and she more or less brushed me off. Didn't even look at me when she handed back the autograph. I swear she hated kids. (obviously not one of my better memories...)

Besides the usual actors and artists I meet each year at Dragon-Con in Atlanta (I once ate lunch with Kenny Baker and his wife... Wonderful couple!)? Well, my Grandmother's cousin was Charlton Heston. He used to come to our family reunions when I was a kid. My cousins and I would ask 'Uncle Charlie' to say the line and he would always oblige.
He was such a down-to-earth man around the family and had tons of stories to tell every year! He and others in my family spoke openly against racism (which was a rare thing to do in the 60s... especially in the South!) I really miss him, but I have to smile each time I see one of his many films on AMC or from my dvd collection. Rest in Peace, 'Uncle Charlie'!
When I was a teen I worked at Best Buy in the media area. One day while sorting some stuff out and taking some notes at a computer station a guy walked up behind me and asked where a Clapton CD was, frustrated I rather rudely told him "Under C for Clapton. It's all alphabetical dude." (I said this without turning around) As he walked away, a co-worker walked up behind me and proclaimed, "DUDE WAS THAT ERIC CLAPTON!?"
I looked up, and as it turns out, I was rude to Eric Clapton.
@IAMtheHERO: I always loved watching the Globetrotters when I was a kid. I saw them again about 10 years ago and was like, "Who the heck are those guys?" Their new generation of players are still great entertainers though!
The Emperor from Star wars and Geoffrey from Fresh prince of Bel air both live about 2 miles from my house, so have seen both several times. And obviously I stopped them the first time round, being that I was still pretty young they were both quite receptive and friendly.
Though about a year ago a friend of mine saw Geoffrey walking along. So he ran across the street screaming "Geoffrey!" Quite understandably, he rolled his eyes and carried on walking. So my friend phoned his girlfriend who was walking up to meet him and told her that Geoffrey was headed her way. When she saw him she ran across the street screaming "Geoffrey!" He stopped, smiled, waved and said "hiiiiiii" 8-D
