Last weekend I was at a political rally demanding clean and transparent elections for my country's government, so yeah, I suppose so.

The US, though awesome, is quite flawed in many ways.

Yes there is a lot of stuff wrong with America. There's nowhere else I'd rather live (besides maybe Canada) but it still has problems.

I hate my home country, both the government and the country itself. In the country that I moved to, I hate the government but love the country.

You bet! I am in the US. It's becoming a country that disregards our Constitution like it's toilet paper. A country that violates each and every citizen's First and Fourth Amendment rights. It doesn't matter if you are not an American Citizen the NSA has data on you. You right to privacy has been violated. I love my country, but I fear it at the same time. I am like Captain America in the Civil War.

Of course, my country is full of (and run by) horrible people and has a history full of embarrassing, infuriating and tragic episodes.

Yes. Respecting something doesn't mean believing it's perfect, it means acknowledging the strong points as well as flaws and working towards making it better.

People complain too much when life in America could be a lot worse. Either attempt to make a change or stop bitching, it's so annoying. Same goes for people in any other "stable" society/country.
