Has Nickelodeon become the SpongeBob channel?

I just watched "The Nasty Patty" right now, and man, THAT is how you write a proper spongebob episode. XD

I agree completely. I'll see the 2nd movie because I think it'll be like when the show was good. but it's gotten annoying how the plots aren't really consistent. going back now I do find it went downhill after the movie. but I will say it got REALLY crappy a few years ago

I only like the original. The new ones are just stupid.

All the characters have been horribly Flanderized over the years until they became like that. Mr. Krabs wasn't always that greedy and Spongebob and Patrick weren't always that dumb.

@dctv3363: I especially don't like Patrick and not just because he's dumb but because he's also a complete dick and seems to be dangerously incompetent.

I liked when Patrick wasn't dummied down(like when he comes up with funny sayings and such) and when SpongeBob didn't act as...weird around Squidward when he says " I love you" and stuff. by the way, is it true spongebob was supposed to be an adult show? Because I heard a rumor it was but no evidence proved what they were saying and I don't recall anything in 1999 when the show came out.

True, true. But DCTV3363's right about Spongebob and Patrick not always being dumb in the old episodes.

I feel as if they have made spongebob into having an obsession with Squid. They seem to have a "special" every few months or so.

The idea was that The Movie was the final episode, so the show would start going to get into that direction.

Saddly they decide ot ignore the movie and their original plan.

It might as well be.

Almost everything else sucks.

Spongebob: "Bye Squidward. Bye Mr. Krabs. Bye Squidward."

Patrick: "You said bye Squidward twice."

Spongebob: "I like Squidward."

One of the best episodes imo is the Treedome one.

And so many more...like Rock Bottom, the night shift, ugh...O.G SB was the bomb.

right. I forgot about that episode. I think if it involves one or two episodes they will refer to it, then again they always reference mermaid man and barnacle boy, and a lot of the same brands they reference a lot. I just think it would be cool for spongebob to at least get his license already, PERMINETLY this time. The plot's been going on for too many years and it's getting old.

I never cared to much for Spongebob however, alot of people like him so hes overrated... I miss Doug and Hey Arnold, those were my favorite Nickelodeon Shows.

Nick like most cartoon channels don't want to take risks, going with news shows, when sponge bob is the goose that laid the golden egg, it's there Mickey, so I get where they are coming from, but they stand to get money if the try for more then just one show. Either way, there are other things to watch

Yeah I don't like the new Spongebob at least the old ones who often completely self-aware and funny. On the side note, I feel like we need a Looney Tunes show as the new one isn't doing it for me.

I'll take the Spongebob channel over the Duck Dynasty channel, any day.

Spongebob, in my opinion, is one of the most retarded shows I have ever seen.

Never really cared for Sponge bob though I've watched it, it needs to die. It should've have ended 10 years ago but it didn't because they're milking it dry. Korra was the only thing worth watching and now they've switched that online. Honestly both 3 major networks have become garbage. The only thing CN is good for is Toonami since they cancelled Yj and other good shows. Disney has nothing to offer and Nick is garbage. The Nicktoons Network channel was good now it's garbage too. I thought The Hub was the second coming since it had Transformers Prime but now it's garbage too

@redbird3rdboywonder: word. I thought The Hub would be like a hybrid of 90's Cartoon Network/Nick and Kid's WB, but the channel went downhill after they got rid of Batman and Superman TAS and moved Animaniacs to the morning to be shown just once a day -_-
