GTA: Niko Bellic vs Carl Johnson vs Tommy Vercetti vs Claude

Which one of these guys do you consider to be the best GTA protagonist? There might not be any clear way to determine who is best in certain categories based on the story but who do you imagine to be best overall?
 
 
 

Neko Bellic is a trained Naval officer. However Carl Johnson had access to a plethora of weapons. In the end Tom and Claude are just thugs, and Neko and Carl have the most personality. I'd vote for Carl since his game was the best to date, and the most refined and filled. San Andreas was Rockstar's ultimate GTA. 

Perhaps it's nostalgia or aesthetics, but I always preferred Claude best of all. His cameo in San Andreas was awesome. Plus, I always felt he got involved with the most dangerous gangs in organized crime. Hell, he fought the triads and worked for the Yakuza for goodness sake lol
