“Sorry, I’m getting a little emotional,” explained Fisher, fighting back tears while being interviewed after the game. “We work hard in this game and sometimes things don’t go your way. I love this game, I love this team, I love this guy (Kobe) and I love what I do. Nothing means more to me than helping my team win.”
So anyways I watched the Lakers game yesterday and afterwards Derek Fisher got choked up and emotional when asked about his performance after the game. For me it was awesome seeing a classy guy like Derek Fisher get emotional. I'm an emotional guy and I respect how someone who pours so much in to what they do that for them it really matters. What do other think?
Grown men ok to get emotional?
There's nothing wrong with that. I tend to get super emotional when I'm upset. Whenever I'm boiling hot and Hulk-level angry I get emotional and teary-eyed. I feel like I'm about to f*** someone up. I don't know why, but that's just the way it is.
Sure it is fine... No matter what other people may think about you... There is nothing wrong with it... Sure most girls are creeped out by guys who cry all the damn time, no big deal... Right?
People always refer to crying as 'getting emotional', when 'emotional' could be a variety of things including being angry, being happy, etc. It's socially acceptable for a man to 'get emotional' if that emotion is anger, but 'getting emotional' in the sense of crying is not socially acceptable. I think a rephrase is necessary here. I think yes indeed it is acceptable for grown men to 'get emotional', in fact it would be seen as abnormal if a person, male or female, never had any emotion at all. If you mean to ask whether it is acceptable for a grown man to have tears in his eyes for whatever reason, then no, there is absolutely no problem with that, why should there be?
I'm always emotional, I'm crying right now as we speak...

nevermind....
To quote my father..."It's not ok to cry if you loose or during a movie, it's ok to cry if you have a nail going through your foot."
that hurt my feelings *sob* *sob*
*perks up* what the heck? Of course it is! Just don't be a frickin' cry baby!
You can cry when someone's died, or when you lose a part of your body (especially that one part that make's you "tough"), but don't cry when someone calls you stupid or you lose something.
Of course. There's nothing worse than a guy whose emotionless and like a robot basically.
I like emotion in my men [: passion and crying included.
"I don't think we have the right to judge athletes considering the passion they have for the game. "
Naw I was just askin if was ok to act like that........
i may sound old fashioned here but i've never seen ay point to crying, it doesn't make you feel better, it doesn't put a stop to whatever is upsetting you, and pretty much does nothing to help so why is it a problem if i don't cry, there are lots of other pointless activities i do participate in that should make up for it
