What is the greatest movie of your childhood?

The one I have the greatest memory of watching was The Sandlot, I loved that film and also because the first time I watched it was when I lost my dog and the whole neighbourhood spent the night looking for him, it turned out the stupid dog got its self locked in the shed in my back garden lol. Anyway this movie reminds me of my childhood because of the fond memory's, what about you?

Probably Willow. That movie made me want to be a swordsman when I grew up. Even now I periodically have to pop it in and give it a watch. It was a simple story and the characters were largely one-dimensional fantasy archetypes, but there's just something about the no-frills good vs. evil theme that makes me earnestly yearn that life was so simple, that we could all just fix the world's ills by taking up arms and overthrowing the bad guys.

#26 Posted by Whoa (492 posts) - - Show Bio

Basically all the Disney animated films like Aladdin, Dumbo, Beauty and the Beast, Lion King, Sleeping Beauty (the dragon looked awesome), The Little Mermaid (Ursula getting all huge was always my favorite part)

and then there was Alien, Aliens, Jaws oh and  We're Back: A Dinosaur Story annnnd Lion King sh*t I feel like there is more but its not coming to mind, yup basically movies were my childhood, probably why I'm studying Cinema History in college.

Labyrinth was awesome...though I was confused at whether the Goblin King David Bowie was a girl or a guy because my aunt was going around with the same sort of makeup and hairstyle at the time.

Funny, I did the same thing when I was around 7 or so. I actually screamed myself voiceless...I could only croak out a whisper for the rest of that day.   I dont think I've watched a Friday the 13th since then...lol.

Goonies
Indiana Jones (all of them up til this most recent one, which I have not seen)
Gremlins
and that Duck Tales movie that I cant seem to remember the whole name of...unless it was just called "The Duck Tales Movie" or something like that...
