This thread seriously needs to become immortal so it can keep up with all the sad / horrible news threads.

@BumpyBoo: I wouldn't be surprised if that is on the front page right now...

...That was a joke, right? I sincerely hope so.

Aw no! :( What a downer!

@Dracade102: For now it's a joke. But it wouldn't surprise me, either :P

I absolutely love this thread. Thank you so much for creating it.

We all should find time in our day to keep this alive with stories. There's something great happening every second, it would be amazing if we could focus on the good and not the bad sometimes.

This is mine.

:)

#9 Posted by BumpyBoo (10061 posts) - - Show Bio

@lykopis: Awww that's lovely

^_^

You're right, it's so easy to find bad news, and there isn't enough focus on how great life can be.

Someone needs to find a name and address of that asshole who tossed the rabbit.
And then give the info to 4chan.

If I'm ever mutated I want that as my super-power.

@RazzaTazz: I'm sure I don't know what you mean... (offers bribe)

@Samimista: I'm also a sucker for cross-species friendships, like bears who raise a duckling like their own, or a tiger and monkey that are friends. I know it's dumb but if you feel down it picks you right up :D

@deadpoolrules: Excellent finds :D Anyone who would punch a shark is pretty hardcore!

#20 Posted by Samimista (20831 posts) - - Show Bio

@BumpyBoo Hahaha! I am too. My cats and I have a special bond. Gotta love animals. I consider them as actual family. =) Maybe some day chocobos and moogles will be best friends! =D xD

Haha, yes, true. But,I think the most important is that the guys saved another life, even being from different species, now that's what a hero does.

Also this restored my faith in mankind:

The thread about the dog in the cracked article is very relevant to me lol. When I was in highschool a seriously clinically depressed and that was brought on by another mental illness that made things confusing. Anyway I was sitting on my couch one day at like 2 am and I'm cutting myself and my dog comes up and nudges my hand to pet her, I look at her and her puppy dog eyes and I start to pet her. Dogs are seriously awesome when it comes to them going to you when you're feeling bad. They just have this sense, they go to you if you're depressed and do something cute and you just can't help but smile. You don't get that from cats lol.

#23 Posted by BumpyBoo (10061 posts) - - Show Bio

@Vortex13: It is just impossible to feel bad when you're looking at your dog, I'm exactly the same with our dog. Doesn't matter how low I get, one look at him and I just melt ^_^

This was a brilliant idea. With all the terrible things on the news and all the crazy stuff that makes it here this is a real breathe of fresh air.

First off this is the best thread I have seen yet on CV. Sincerely thanks.

I found this the other day and it realtes to a few of the things above.

“Petting, scratching, and cuddling a dog could be as soothing to the mind and heart as deep meditation and almost as good for the soul as prayer.” - Dean Koontz, False Memory

Hope to stop back by and contribute more.

Here is my humble contribution...one of my favorites and yes inspired by the Freddy Mercury Tribute above.

I have had this song in my head since I found this thread. Old school from my childhood.

Had to watch a few versions because some were just a barrage of terrible images. At least this one is a nice mix.
