While I'm bumping old threads.....
Ghosts: Fact or Fiction
I tend to distrust any supernatural (or extraterrestrial, for that matter) occurrence. Our senses and sensibilities can be easily skewed to think something strange is going on. Of course it is still completely possible those yelling that they are here may be the only sane ones left and skeptics like me are completely nuts.
" Ghost exist, they are usually found helping young women make pottery. "He was no help at all, the damn thing just collapsed in their hands!!
As for the ghost existing, I have a few friends that claim they lived in haunted houses. They're close friends so I trust and believe them, but they say it was no big deal, just a clatter in the night sometimes and cutlery gets moved around.
@doomdoomdoom HA IT WORKED! You're a genius :D
@lunacyde: Your point being :D (I know its late)
@overlordarhas: Thats slightly disturbing..
@overlordarhas: Thats slightly disturbing..
Thank you for the compliment, BTW I'm EVIL
Seriously though, I think it is a product of the human mind being overly agitated.
@overlordarhas: You are welcome. I remember being evil lol
I can only agree to disagree. Only because Ive been in the shoes of someone who has experianced it.
But I will say that most of the shows out there are all fake. I used to love Ghost Hunters and Ghost Adventures. But A lot of the crap they pick up can easily be debunked.
@overlordarhas: Seen no. Felt the presence yes. One of my grandfathers died in my house. Doors open or sometimes I hear knocking on my wall (He died in the room right next to me. We used to knock on the wall at strange times at night. Just because we could.) Its little things that someone could say can be debunked but trust me. Weve tried.
There's a road not far from where I am with a hill where you can be pushed up in a car.
I went to an abandoned hospital once (Got the criminal tresspassing charges and Probation to prove it lol) Some saw shadow figures. I felt things that I should have never felt walking through there.
There have been many things over the years. From sensations to some scary real dreams that actually came true. (That doesnt actually fall into the paranormal category but I refuse to call myself a sensitive because most people who claim it are in fact fake.) Everything thats happened over the years just solidify my belief. (More recently while I was in Texas my mum called to tell us about my niece talking to a deceased friend. My Niece is 3. Why would she randomly say she was playing with this person when she hardly knew them to begin with.)
@joygirl: Wheres the like button....
Could it be that you are just over sensitive?
I mean, that it must have been the way you're mind coops with the lost of a loved one? (Sorry if it sounds too critical)
Fact. Seen too many ghosts to deny their existence.
Really?
Hope you're not saying Ghost of the Past?
@abocado: It has been 16 years since my grandfather passed. I was over it quicker then I have gotten over my other grandfathers death 3 years ago. The latter I was closer too and yet I have no experiences at his house (I moved in there the day of his death to keep my grandmother company) Maybe it is my mind being overly active but it isn't just me. My other sisters have said the same, as well as friends who have heard the knocks or actually seen the doors open.
Also don't apologize. I'm not taking it personally. I've always loved a good debate.
Hhhmmm...

- My question is, if they are loved one, why not leave you in peace or if they are really there, why not announce themselves, why do something so petty?
I went to an abandoned hospital once (Got the criminal tresspassing charges and Probation to prove it lol) Some saw shadow figures. I felt things that I should have never felt walking through there.
- People tend to be over active when at an unfamiliar place, could it be that and the shadow you see is but a pigment of your imagination?

- As for your Niece, Imaginary friend perhaps?
You know, I've always thought of believing in ghosts as quite similar as having faith in a deity. Scientists and factualists would want complete and utter proof of their existence. What's odd is almost everyone has experienced some form supernatural activity that can't be explained. So, if one wants to believe in what they've experienced, then ghosts may very well exist. I think they are.
I really don't like the thought of a ghost staring at me while I'm in the shower, so I just don't believe in ghosts. Plus nothing supernatural has happened around me. Unless you count the occasional light flickering.
Dont know. My brain says fiction but my heart says fact.
In my work, me and my mate sometimes end up all alone in a church, a castle or some creepy old house. I could probably explain all the things we`ve seen and heard as completely natural occurrences. Voices, coughs and footsteps coming from the outside and the door opening by itself - draft.
That being said, in the middle of the winter, when its pitch black at 3.00 o`clock in the afternoon and my friend is out to get something in the car, when I know that I`m totally alone in some ramshackle and hear.. whatever making a horror movie noise I just wanna run - screw the brain and my salary
