Could the Caveman's burial position be enough to make such a conclusion that he was gay?
homosexually has been around for million of years in the animal kingdom that it is reasonable enough to believe early man capable of such behavior.....
Gay Caveman
Cavemen when first evolved persay i dont think had any real thoughts on sexual activity they didnt actually no what it was they probly didnt realize they were even doing anything
he was buried in the position reserved for women with house hold items of jars and cooking items..." @castleking: This makes no sense...Was he bent over??? "
while the men of the time were buried with weapons and hunting items opposite position facing west or so i believe.
hmm.. that is what i'm thinkin but, still makes one think about there being homosexuality in early man history." @castleking: It's stupid anyway... There is no way they can conclude he was gay...None.. just that he may have had an alternative lifestyle that befitted a woman... but that's the most they can get out of it.. "

We can tell if someone is gay by the way there body looks when it's been dead for years?Couldn't the guy have been humiliated or kinda feminine?
"
1st documented bullying and bashing of a homosexuality?
Lmao I dont think he was gay. He probably had douches for friends and family. After he died they thought it would be funny to bury him like a women. Douches.

Yeah, thats weird about how they jumped into the conclusion of homosexuality, and not the dozens of other potential explanations. These are newscasters too, they know, or should know how gender constructs work, and the differences (as in how they are relaying the information they are getting) they should already know dudes be doing dudes all though out history, and at first people didn't care for the first thousands of years, and then people started caring so intensely, eh Middle Ages roughly? Rough, simple generic answer. I suppose they were focusing on the "first" or "historical first" aspect of it. Which is crazy, since we all know that Steve was the first! LOL

" "Any hole's a goal as far as I'm concerned" - Fred W. FlintstoneThey're probably just jumped to that conclusion to make for a more exciting article. Who cares if some random caveman was buried in an uncommon spot? Its much more controversial to talk about homosexuality."Oh well, thats just boys being boys, it doesn't bother me as long as I know who's bedrock he's sleeping in at night" - Wilma Flintstone"

I care about archeology have some basic college course study knowledge and most importantly on site hands on experience... *shakes fist*

Experts have proof being a douche has predated homosexuality.. Hehehe! Though they didn't call it douche at that time. Being it a modern invention and all.. :D

That made me lol........
i highly doubt cavemen had invented sexual identity yet, and likely didn't even have a clear understanding nor definition of gender either.
the question is basically asking if humans applied themselves to a concept before they invented the concept, much like asking whether
or not a dinosaur followed Scientology or not.
why u laughin?"

Because of modern day stereotypes of women in the kitchen...
Then there is a caveman buried with cooking items.......
You know it's a slow news day when they report gay cavemen findings instead of reporting on more important things like puppies and kittens.
" he lived and was found inside a cave... duh... :P "So if you're found dead inside your home the headline will read "Gay Houseman found dead with cooking utensils" =P

Do people realize that this "Caveman" was from what was technically the bronze age, you know when the Greeks were starting Western Civilization
" Do people realize that this "Caveman" was from what was technically the bronze age, you know when the Greeks were starting Western Civilization "Boy did they start western civilization off with a bang LoL!
they are just using the word loosely and it isnt cemented either way to a particular hominid especially when humans have bn around for about 200 thousand years give or take and they have also bn referred as cave men and they are were as human as modern man.
" Do people realize that this "Caveman" was from what was technically the bronze age, you know when the Greeks were starting Western Civilization "Exactly. This specimen is not what most people actually think it is. Any neanderthal or other early Homo sub species died out long before this time. Mesopotamia, Egypt, & some other Asian regions have already established civilizations by then.
