Ok, if it's put in the wrong forum:

A) we can't move it ourselves

B) the poster saying "wrong forum" can't move it

C) 8/10 the person knows it's in the wrong forum but only deals with the battle forums. so they put it in the battle forum and WAIT FOR A MOD TO MOVE IT.

Don't point out the obvious unless you have the authority to do something about it. It's like a co-worker telling you, that you're late coming back from lunch. I know i'm late. You know i'm late. Neither of us can change the past so shut up. Unless the OP is new then i might tell them just because they may not know.

but i'm saying, maybe next time, he can think about how much he dislikes people saying "wrong forums" over and over again, BEFORE he knowingly posts a thread in a another forum simply because he wanted it to get more attention. see the case i'm making here?

@nickthedevil: hearing people say it over and over again is not bad enough to make us stop. I'm not going to stop going to the park because 2 or 3 mosquitoes show up. Let's be honest. everyone wants their threads to get as much attention and comments as possible. so like any good advertising exec you put it where it will be seen and have staying time. So that's why we do it. Question for you: since you can't move the thread to the appropriate board why do you bother saying "wrong forum"? What's in it for you?

So when a Mod enters the thread, the KNOW it. Otherwise they might not notice it and its stays there.

I personally feel that after reading the title or OP that Mods are competent enough to know where the thread belongs. and no, you saying it doesn't hurt anyone at all. But we said the reason it's done is to get more views and post. I just don't like people making redundant comments, just to make comments. have a reason. If you say "wrong forum" to give the mods a heads up then that's fine.

The problem is if they don't see where its put. Mods are people too, they're not machines that dedicate their lives to weed out threads. Except Morph, but he's a robot for another reason

Also, the OT gets more views than the battle forum.

And if you know its going to be moved, then why put it here at all? Just so Mods are forced to go move it back?
