Frank Sinatra or Dean Martin.

Who was better, or who do you enjoy more and why?

Personally I think Frank Sinatra is better, not by much because both are great artist. Plus I've always loved his music.

I really love both. Dean had an amazing on and off stage way about him. Deans tv show was pretty awesome, he would be half lit and having a blast.

I enjoy Frank's voice and song selection way more then Dean but from what i have read over the years frank was a huge ass to commen people.

Love em both but dean is kind of my fav for the time being.

Good to know someone else is e enjoying the classic contemporary.

Musically I think Sinatra by a good bit but as an actor/non singer I'd say Martin. I'm sort of surprised to see a thread like this on comicvine though.

Have to agree with musically it's Sinatra but as an actor it's Martin. Sinatra also has bigger impact in music industry.

I think Bublé has a better voice than either, though.

@hayden86: I think Frank was also known for being a really great guy though and being one of the biggest tippers who ever lived.

@spambot: that has been said as well. Sammy Davis spoke highly of Frank as a human. While People like Mia Farrow paint a ...darker if you will picture of the man. Not saying everone else is an angel.

But all this has been slowly seeing light over the years. At some point i wonder how much is hot air.

@hayden86: I think he was a bit of both. A bit controlling and chauvinistic towards women but also capable of being very generous also.

Frank Sinatra, he had more presence and range IMO.

Dean Martin. I grew up with a "Best Of" CD that my mother had.

Dean Martin: Better Movies.

Frank Sinatra all the way.

From those two, Dean was cooler, preferred the tone of his voice and did better films. Still prefer Sammy though, true entertainer.
