First Impression - How important is it?

Do you think you can asses a person prima facie.

It's pretty important.

It's super important, however my opinion of the person can change over time.

First impressions are extremely important, in all aspects of life. While opinions can sometimes change, they will always be affected by initial exposure to a new element.

Usually, it is more common for positive opinions to later become negative, rather than the opposite. In a way, you could conclude that negative first impressions are more powerful than positive ones.

Yeah. But then again, you should give more than one chance!

Everyone needs a chance but surface detail is important.

@OverLordArhas: I'd say both. A partner will most likely subconsciously judge you and your relationship capabilities based around when thye first met you. You could try change yourself after the first meeting, but the partner will probably remember you like that. Job offers are also definitely judging the impression they first get from you to determine dedication and reliability.

Very important business-wise, less so personally.
