@punyparker: Overall.
The argentina manager's number one tactic is give the ball to Messi.

Anyone.....ANYONE.....ever considered that Brazil weren't present in the match?.......you give the final to Germany like it's already done!
Wait, what?...could you explain that?
d?_?b
Everyone think that Germany will play like they did with Brazil, and destroy Argentina, but Argentina is a different much better team than anyone they have played......
Well, Germany will play the same way they did against Brazil, since that's how they play, and it's effective. The only difference is, they played against a broken Brazil. With a broken defensive line, lack of strong Strikers, no Neymar, and no Captain Silva, what was left of Brazil got destroyed by Germany. On the other hand, Argentina is a strong team...the way Germany plays will not-so-likely lead to a destroying victory, like it did against the already-broken Brazil. Argentina is more-that-enough to give Germany a challenge. I've surprisingly haven't watched any of Argentina's previous games, except for the Netherlands match. So, I'm not aware with how they play...But, from watching the way Germany plays and how they slaughtered Brazil, if Argentina have a strong defense, and break down Germany's comfortable inside passing, they could get it done...

Couldn't have said it better myself.
Argentina is NOT Brazil.
I swear,if Argentina didn't have Di Maria ,on Sunday, i'd say, that they're blocked attackingly, because everyone will mark Messi, and if he plays like a beast, they may score, but if they mark him well,he wont. But Di Maria will play, and now they have ooptions in attack.
It will be a challenge.
@punyparker: By scoring more goals than the goals scored against using Messi :)

Di Maria and Aguero will play.......and with the Dutch, did you see who did the chances from the Argentinians?.....Palacio,Higuain and Maxi.
@punyparker: Di Maria's has also been putting in work but I haven't seen anything impressive from Aguero. Though their attacking play was greater than the dutch's.
@punyparker: it's fine, no offense taken. I can see why you would think I was German. Long story short I have a lot of German friends and am applying to a masters program in Munich.
My prediction for the match is 3-2 Germany. I am by no means a football expert, but Germany is a strong team and you can tell they have been building intensity through the tournament. If they come out hungry, do not let their victory over Brazil impact their play, and continue improving from game to game they have a strong enough team from top to bottom to give Argentina a loss.
They will also have fresher legs.

I agree on Kun,but you don't know what a player of his quality can do ,when given a slight chance.
They will also have fresher legs.
True.
Argentina know all this, and they'll try to manage with what its given.
So Brazil should have in third place since Netherlands clearly doesn't want to play anymore.
Ι think Holland will win......Robben said they want 3rd place.
@punyparker: Really? I read Netherlands doesn't care anymore because it's 1st or nothing with them.

He said it right after the match,on the interviews, they give on the pitch.

Ah well.I still believe that they're gonna win.
Vamos Argentina btw.
@albertphytagoras: True, Batman would stomp with prep.
Germany were prepared to thrash.
Well, can you really blame them? It's a match they don't want to play. They're already exhausted having played the last two matches into overtime, 2 defenders injured, Brazil hasn't played into overtime and not exerted themselves last match and got an extra day of rest. And they also have a hostile crowd to face.
Brazil has a reason to play because of the huge defeat against Germany. And they want to redeem themselves especially in their own country (and to save Scolari's job).
and to save Scolari's job.
It's late but damn, what a game to witness (Brazil vs Germany). The first couple of goals had the German fans where I was cheering but once it hit the five and then six goal mark, the mood got a little sombre.
Netherlands should win today. I hope they don't hold back.
QFT.
Most likely to take over as coach of the Brazilian national team is called "TITE", currently without a club and former coach of a team called "Corinthians", which he lead to the championship of the Conmebol "Libertadores da América" and Fifa Club World Cup 2012 after beating Chelsea for 1 score to 0.
@hislolita: Netherlands might hold back after 4 goals and play defensively from there.
Though I am eager to see a remembering Van persie goal, much like the one against Spain

You almost called it perfectly.
Congratulations to Netherlands. I have to be honest, I would have rather this game been between Brazil and Argentina. Netherlands against Germany would have been a beautiful match to experience as a football fan. Not to knock Argentina in any way, just how my preferences run when it comes to game-play.
@hislolita: Agree completely.
I'm going to say 4 - 1 in Germany's favor.
I am going to say 2-1 in Argentina's favor or penalties.

When I say penalties, is like saying too close to call. Penalties are half luck half intuition. I think that anyone can win on penalties.
@aiden_cross: the look on his face was priceless
@warlock360: both teams had pretty good chances so far. I just hope it doesn't go to penalties.

If it goes to penalties, Germany is winning...
Though it's a game of chance, either Germany are chance-reading-Robots (Which, they are) or they have their hand under Lady Luck's skirt...
