Taipan - James Clavell
Ciaphas Cain series - Sandy Mitchell

Master and Commander series - Patrick O'Brian
The last novel I read was called "Tomorrow when the War began". That was about 6 years ago for a school assessment. It is also the only novel I actually finished. I'm currently reading Splinter Cell though with the intent of finishing the novel series. Its pretty good. But I haven't read enough books to claim a favourite :(
The Vampire Chronicles, specifically "Interview with a Vampire" by Anne Rice.
My favorite author however, is Lemony Snicket.
Freak the Mighty
@beaconofstrength: Ditto
R.A. Salvatore
He's on the top of my list when a purge roll's around, he killed Chewbacca in a SW novel >:{
Toss up between Star Wars Invincible by Troy Denning or The Seawolf by Jack London.
The Seawolf was amazing on so many levels though but then again Jaina Solo was wrecking shop. I can't choose.
@eisenfauste: Well then you need to read his Forgotten Realms stuff. It's brilliant work haha.
