Favorite Anime Voice

I know there's a good amount of anime fans on CV, so let's make a voice actor/actress thread that won't just end with Kevin Conroy stomping.

Who's your favorite anime voice actor or favorite voiced character from an anime?

My picks are Junichi Katsuragi's English dub in "Kids on the Slope" and Sephiroth's Japanese voice actor from "Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children"

Reborn's voice in Hitman Reborn! original Japanese version.

English wise the only VA even worth mentioning is Crispin Freeman and Steve Blum. Everyone else sucks ass.

Japanese wise there are too many to list to be honest. Here are some really good ones (2 males 2 females)

• Tomokazu Seki (Van Fanel, Sousuke Sagara, Gilgamesh...)
• Akira Ishida (Kaworu, Gaara, Chrono, Athrun, Sensui)
• Joji Nakata (Alucard, Falken Fanel)
• Ayako Kawasumi (Lafiel, Saber, Natsuki Mogi)

Chris sabat n chuck Huber

Broly's English voice, particularly the maniacal laugh.

Sabat, Blum and Vic Magnola-something.

The Rich Ojou - Sama voice like:

Selnia Flameheart from Lady X Butler

Miu Furinji from HSD Kenichi (although she is not rich but she talk like one without the laugh).

I like mostly Comedic ones like Cromartie High, School Rumble, Jellyfish princess. B Gata H Kei.

Action wise Id say Cowboy Beepbop, FML/B, One Piece (not the Straw hats, I hate most of them and Luffy, I watch it for the side characters my favorite being Coby), Bleach, Naruto.

Steve Blum, but my favorite voice he did was for Jamie from Megas XLR

Lelouch's Japanese voice actor, followed by Wrath's English voice actor.

Gurren Lagann voice overs, the UK dub of Ariety

Troy Baker's my hands-down favorite. JYB, Yuri Lowenthal.

Wrath was great.

Then again, Brotherhood's got stellar voice acting across the board.

I think all Japanese Voicework is annoying. Just my opinion.

As for english voice acting that's worth a damn, I thought Zoro from Funimation OP was well done and Liked Full Metal Alchemist VA, Bleach (although the show itself is trash) had solid voicework in Uryu , Urahara and Aizen

Btw, is it just me, or japanese have completely different talking styles for each character? I mean, I can't imagine the same sentences from one character, but in other's voice and toning. (try kisame and itachi.. or or zoro-chopper.. or byakuya-kenpachi)

Do you mean from english to japanese? Or like when one VA voices two characters?

'Cause both make sense. With one, there's probably some serious pronunciation differences between English and Japanese. With the other, it's a matter of voicing the different character personalities.

Nah, just comparing talking styles (?) of two characters in japanese. One voice actor for two characters, you could say.

Yup. Grew up on MMPR. He even came back for a reunion episode in Operation Overdrive.

And I can see why he's in so many. He's a pretty good VA.

Ah same here. :D stopped watching PR after Overdrive, just lost interest.

He is good, and his voice suits the characters he VA's very well. But It's friggin annoying when he's in damn near every anime that's been dubbed.

Speaking of JYB, he's voicing Saruhiko in the upcoming K dub. Can't say I'm surprised.

Thanks for purposefully butchering the English language you talentless hacks. Only English dub that made me want to actually hurt someone (that includes 4Kids dubs). And no I'm not biased for Japanese.
