@squares: Heck yeah! I loved the desert setting, the weapons, the quests, the main storylines the companions. I would say I enjoyed it actually more so than Fallout 3.
Yep, I played it. Outside of getting freaked out by the giant scorpions, ants, & whatever those green things were (mantises?), I loved it. Definitely one of my favorite games and has one of my favorite final missions to a game. Had a lot of fun with it. Didn't get close to being bored until about 80 hours in.
@squares: Setting is pretty important to me in a game, and fallout 3 was pretty dreary. Although I did really get into it, New Vegas was much easier to get immersed.
@the_tree: Thanks, I was wondering how long it would take to be able to play it. I'm currently replaying all of fallout 3. Is broken steel enjoyable storywise and quest wise?
@eisenfauste: Yeah, there's more development/closure with the Enclave. And it leaves you with the ability to keep playing after the main quest is complete.
@squares: Old World Blues with the robots was silly and satirical. I swear one of the robots was Adam West. Sort of like Mystery Science Theater 3000. But (for me) it didn't fit the feel of Fallout. It felt too whimsical. Of the expansions I have played, I enjoyed Old World Blues the most, but I think skipping it would have been fine.
I despised Dead Money. That one ended it for me.
I'm glad you are enjoying the expansions. =) Hopefully your experiences will be better than mine!
I mean there are main story missions but they're short / dumb and the sidequests added were lackluster.The main thing that it adds is the increased level cap + more weapons.
@ostyo: Yeah, sounds about right. Used to stay up overnight to play it when I first got the game, would pull all-nighters just so I could roam the Mojave.
@quickfingers26: I'm getting pretty pissed off that I didn't pick energy weapons, but that's really the only thing I dislike about OWB. I like the sillyness- it feels refreshing. That being said, being called a teddy bear is getting kind of annoying.
I've heard Dead Money is kind of iffy, and difficult. I'm saving that one for last.

@deronn_solo: Interesting......I assume you would much rather read and watch something than play videogames. Those are the two things that I decide upon instead of videogaming, which admittedly I do less of than I used to it kind of has lost interest for me.
@ostyo: Lol, when hunting deathclaws the only way I can kill them is an Anti-Material rifle or a YCS Gauss rifle. Unless you have a lot of mines.......
@squares: I totally know what you mean, my little teddy bear. I just love spending countless hours exploring the land and finding hidden caves and bunkers. Also Deathclaws!
@ostyo: Believe it or not I used Youtube to get all the powerful weapons in the game lol. Why melee? I prefer to blast people to pieces or hit them from long range before they can do anything about it. I also maxed out on the game a while back.
