Homage to one of my favorite moments in LotR.

Fim sui anghathel (Slender as a steel-blade)

Na vedui istant (Too late he knew)

Dîr ú-naun hon... (This was no man...)

Considering Gandalf isn't so much a man but some sort of lesser deity he should have handily done the same. =P

Its so lame when Radagast the Brown can scare the Witch King away in the Hobbit, and yet Gandalf (who by RotK is the most powerful of the Istari) get his ass handed to him.

Not so much scares him off, but blocks / disarms him before briefly running away. Regardless most of the Witch King's power seems to be tied into Sauron given Aragorn and Arwen sent them both packing in the films. Regardless, Gandalf should have been able to put up a fight, even without the staff given his lightning + sword move tat one shotted Balrog.
