"I killed a man just to watch him die" "Cocaine Blues" "Fulsom Prison"...? Come on man. Johnny Cash was an ill rhyme sayer.

He was an outlaw country singer. Indeed he was the sh*t.

But to answer your question. Music wise, Cash takes it.
In a fight, im not to sure. Probably Cash again. He grew up a very hard life. He worked in cotton fields all his young life and was very poor. So i imagine the man was really tough.

Elvis.

while both are great artists, Elvis is responsible for the biggest direction change in musical history. He changed everything. Pretty much every branch of Rock music, can be traced back through different routes and (almost) all of it began with Elvis.

Johnny Cash. Elvis was just a face and voice behind a group who did all the work.

Johnny Cash. His career is just epic. Musically, lyrically he is just superior, and as far as a physical fight, with songs like the ones I just listed and "A Boy Named Sue", I think The Man In Black would curbstomp Elvis. I would just like to watch. Elvis was a hero to most, but he never meant $h!t to me...

THANK YOU!! Johnny Cash wrote his own lyrics. They were very personal and painful. And funny! I'm glad he shared that pain with us. Elvis?? How many songs written by other people did he get famous off of?

Elvis got fat and died from sleeping medication...

Cash died after skydiving out of an airplane while sniffing booger sugar off of a strippers back side....

CASH IS MORE GANGSTER.

Elvis is more than people make him, he wasn't original in the least bit. Just a marketable pretty white boy singing "Devil's music"

Elvis gets a win if motivated enough. (e.g. Cash steps on his blue suede shoes or Cash looks for trouble in the right place)

Johnny Cash. I prefer his voice over Elvis and he actually wrote his own songs.
