Sadly, some of the dumbest things I've heard were on these forums. I don't want to mention specifics though. I've grown tired of arguing on the internet.

I was going through a metal detector at the courthouse a few days ago. Put my phone, keys and belt to the side, walked through and success. A female security guard in her 60's scolds me for not taking my wallet out and asks me to remove it from my person. I do and she says, "We get a lot of people trying to sneak razor blades in here". I asked her, "If I was carrying a razor in my wallet would'nt it set the metal detector off"? To which she replied, "That's not the point"! She literally tried telling me the point of a metal detector isnt detecting metal.
