A new movie? My interest is peeked but I don't know Japanese so I have no idea what Shinron said or what the kanji meant.
Lol same here. It would b great if somebody could translate the text and maybe put some subtitles for what Shenron said, at least then we could possibly get a feel for what to expect or what the conflict/plot might be.
@darthaznable: @biteme_fanboy: Not saying that Goku isn't a great character, but being the main character of the franchise doesn't mean he should hog the spotlight, example being Naruto which showcased other characters, Avatar which probably had Zuko with the most character development, and theirs probably way more examples. They were willing to give Gohan a chance to become the main face of DBZ before the Z Fighters who have more history.
I think that mostly had to do with him being Goku's son. I've never been a huge Gohan fan but it kind of made sense to try and make him Goku's successor in a way. But I see what you mean, I also wanted people like Tien and Piccolo to get more screen/panel time in DBZ.

Found this in the comments on YouTube, no clue if it's accurate or not but I hope it is because this sounds really cool. Maybe they'll revive a fallen Saiyan or a past enemy. Who knows? :P
@blade_r: I honestly liked Gohan a lot when first viewing it on Toonami, but lookin it back at it got bothered that it always had to be Goku or Gohan or even Goku in a fusion that had to beat the big bad. The Cell fight should of ended when Vegeta saw Trunks dead. Using Non Saiyan characters would of been cool to Tien and Piccolo were pretty awesome Tien could of used more exploring he always was training most of the time which made him interesting, and Piccolo with that Guardian of Earth role was awesome, heck a GT movie with Piccolo fighting big bads in hell would be cool.
Yeah man I took a liking to Tien in DB because (to me) he seemed like a true rival to Goku at first, he had a cool story as well. I liked how he was a pretty bad dude, and then changed his ways. (Lol I know this happened more but Tien was like the first) but then Goku got that popo and Kami training and was on a whole new level. It would have been cool if he was on par with Piccolo and Goku at the beginning of DBZ and stayed relatively close to them. I also like your idea of Piccolo having a GT movie based on his experiences in Hell, that would be cool. They just need to make up some ridiculous way for Piccolo to catch up with Goku and Vegeta, id like him to be up there with them again.

Interesting, it does sound cool lol I wonder who it is making the wish? The only person I can think of who has passed away in the DB-Verse who could still pose a problem to the Z fighters was the original Super Saiyan God that died long ago, but he died fighting the evil saiyans right? So I cant see him being a bad guy :/ Probably some unknown character we haven't heard of yet.
@blade_r: Another thing to remember is Shenron can't revive people who have been dead longer than a year, so unless there's an exception or something. I'm leaning more towards a Saiyan honestly, and I could see the original Super Saiyan God but like you said he was pure heart as well. Maybe it'll tie in with the new DBZ game, very unlikely but eh.

True. Was that rule established before Dende made the new Dragon Balls? If so maybe the ones Dende made don't have that same rules as the ones Kami made, kind of like how the Namek Dragon Balls had/have different rules than the original ones Kami made (3 wished instead of one)

@racob7 I can assure you right now, it's not Broly. Not only has he been in 3 movies (if you count Bio-Broly, which was awful but still) but he is non-canon, and even if he was canon the Z-Fighters wouldn't even consider bringing him back lol.
@justthatkid Here's Broly as a Super Saiyan God. Although it would never happen, seeing as Broly is not pure hearted and I don't think the Saiyan Z-Fighters would help him achieve this power, it's still a cool picture lol.
Really wish these movies had less focus on Goku and more of the Z fighters.
If Toriyama got his wish, this movie will actually be focused on Vegeta.

TBH if it is Broly I don't mind as long as its better than Bio-Broly. Them again, everything is better than Bio-Broly. The LSSJ3 from RB2, as cheesy as it is, sorta sparked my interest and I kinda wanna see an adaptation even if it's just an ova
Why is it every time I hear about a new DBZ movie I think automatically think live action?
Anyway at this point they should probably end or reboot the universe. DBZ is all about getting stronger to fight a stringer enemy. Haven't they already reached their peak?
