And he doesn't even show his proper respects for the Denver shooting victims in almost half-hour video... Just saying.
I dont think it's necessary to bring the situation up everytime a review about TDKR is made.
Agreed.
Alright I take it back. I just thought it would be appropriate for the time being.
i agree with doug. this movie is the weakest of the 3. for a movie boasting itself as realistic, there are a lot of things that dont add up: did he just walk on that fozen water, why werent there any guards?? it felt too long. and, it may be just you americans, but what is it with all the grieving? if somebody got shot in your neighborhood you wouldnt give a f*ck but because this happened at a DKR opening you grieve the hell out of it. and use it to bash on critics that didnt like the movie.

Thats the single dumbest comment I've read concerning the entire incident.

1) frozen water is ice...it can be walked on.
2)In what instance are you referring to with the guards?
3) How would you know how any one person would feel if someone got shot in their respective neighborhood? And it most certainly wasn't because it was during TDKR.

@Gambler: its still true.
@OblivionKnight: if it didnt happen during TDKR it wouldnt have gotten so much press. the prison was pretty remote. and guards where bane dumped him and he had to climb up.
Three factors contribute to the the amount of press received:
1) It was an act of terrorism by a fellow American that left 12 dead and 50(?) injured(I've seen different numbers for the injured.)
2) It was in a public place that is usually secure; or, at the very least, doesn't suffer from shootings.
3) The man could actually walk into a theater with weapons and not be noticed( a security issue that many theaters may suffer from.)
And, given that very few people have ever gotten out, guards are not needed. why would they be needed when many of the prisoners can't get out.

Sure it is ;) the comments on a "comicbook" website are a complete microcosm of Americans and how and what they grieve about. Of course the grieving seems heightened here and the publicity seems exaggerated here, it happened at comicbook movie starring one of the most iconic comicbook heroes and you're on a comicbook website. Columbine happened not more then 15miles away and got just as much media attention so no, its not true, only ridiculous.
